is it possible to lose weight without having a massive amount of loose skin? or is that just something im gonna have to deal with?
im pretty fat but not really to the point where my belly is excessively hanging out like in my picture. im not looking to have a bodybuilding type body as my goal. i just want to lose my belly fat.
Depends on how fat you are, and how fast you lose it. Sounds like you should be fine though. Just shoot for a pound a week, and see how things look in a couple months.
Jayden Harris
Snake juice diet. Look it up. Autophagy helps mitigate loose skin from rapid fat loss.
Kevin Nguyen
alright, thanks. yeah i heard that losing the weight slowly can help reduce skin sag since it gives your skin time to heal but still wasnt sure if that was just another bullshit weightloss myth.
Adrian Campbell
Depends on how old you are, how much weight you're losing, how long you've been fat, and how quickly you're losing the weight.
I got fat as shit in college, lost 75 pounds after college at about 1.5 pounds a week, and don't have any loose skin. Just a few stretch marks.

Lose it slow. Very slow if you dat fat.
Eli Phillips
Oh my god don't listen to these idiots, they know nothing.
You take a balloon, and you squeeze the air out slowly, you still have a soggy ass balloon, you take the balloon and you squeeze it all at once, you still HAVE THE SAME THING.
If ANYTHING losing the weight really quickly allows you time to take tension off your gut, build muscle and tighten it (if you need surgery.)
Literally, fast. Don't eat food. You don't need it. You've stored up years worth of over-eating.
Hudson Sanchez
lose it fast then get a clean up surgery on your abdomen, its really not that bad, and its relatively inexpensive.
David Richardson
Yeah, because balloons are exactly the same as human skin
Justin Ramirez
>/fast/ shills ruining every single thread
>people are probably listening to them
god I hate this fucking board
Mason Davis
Don't listen then, I don't care. Lose your little 1-2 pounds a week while people over at /fast/ are losing 2 pounds a DAY.
Be miserable for 2-3 months and lose all the weight or be miserable for a whole year with your low calorie diets spiking your insulin 3 times a day, your choice.
Connor Anderson
>I don't care Yet you seem mighty protective of your meme diet
Jaxson Ross
>meme Like I said, enjoy your little 1-2 pounds a weak. You're just too much of a pussy to stand some hunger pains.
Brayden Wilson
Yup, I've lost 115lbs from a balanced diet and look and feel better than I have during my entire life and took 2 years to get here. I've done occasional 36-48hr fasts and can see the benefits but the autophagy has limits - when you have massive amounts of skin hanging as I do, there's no option really other than surgery - which thankfully I've got in the middle of August. Hooray for me.
However, don't get me wrong, fasting can be a useful tool, but I've researched loose skin after weight loss probably more than most because I'm actually living with it - and there is not one, not ONE actual real example of somebody losing 100+lbs, having a massive amount of skin and then managing to correct it via fasting and autophagy asides from "Oh yeah, some guy did it, but took no photos, there's no evidence, but trust me, honest guv!" Yet despite that, people on here keep repeating the same bullshit.
Ironically, the next go to is "Oh you must have lost the weight quickly then to get loose skin hence it's your fault!" To which I can safely say I've lost mine over a two+ year period. To which then the reply is "Well, if you'd fasted and lost the weight in 6 months it would be fine! You fucked up by losing it slowly!"
>tldr most people on here who talk about loose skin haven't actually got it, don't actually understand what they're talking about and are just repeating the same shit they've seen copy and pasted as if that alone gives it credibility.
Jonathan Hill
What a crock of Bullshit. Fast and lose a goddamn pound a day. Drink snake juice, knock out and be done with the fat. It's easier than dieting.
Ian Diaz
You sound upset, friend
Brayden Lopez
Just burn it slow. Fill it with muscles.
Landon Davis
I never stated it wouldn't give you loose skin, but listen to this man, he lost it in 2 YEARS and still has loose skin.
So tell me what you would prefer, to lose the weight in 2-4 months or 1-2 YEARS? Just don't fucking eat fatty. I'm upset because you're brainwashed.
Angel Green
Lol, chill. People who fast for weight loss put it all back on anyway. Cutting corners pays
Zachary Allen
Oh jesus mate, try to have a convo without immediately insulting the other party. Makes you look less like a twat. (see what I did there?)
And to be honest, for me, part of this journey is about learning patience, strength and becoming a better person because this ride is for life. Not getting to the finish line as fast as fucking possible because "muh dopamine rewards demands results nowwwww". If anything, funnily enough, THAT is fat fucking thinking.
I'll take my never-ending ride of self-improvement over your basic-bitch bullshit any day of the week thanks.
Thomas Collins
It helps your body beat food addiction.
Enjoy your brainwashing, and please keep spending more money on mainstream bullshit. Waste it. You don't deserve it.
Ian Sanders
Wrong. Mindset helps beat that.
Don't get me wrong, fasting has incredible benefits, but like all things, it's a tool to be used. If you feel the need to defend it as vehemently as you are, then I can only suggest you've got bigger problems going on than your inability to actually have a conversation.
