Home Cardio

I'm doing a home program where I walk up and down the stairs. I can't run because of my knees. It makes me sweat and exert myself suitably.

Discuss.

Go swimming

It's perfect for fat cunts. Have you ever seen a fucking whale with bad knees

I am not fat. 76 kilos for 176 cm. I'm eating every other day only to get down to 70 kilos, however.

I can't go swimming for other reasons.

You should work on your mental health first.

I do.

Anything that gets your heart pumping is good cardio

Cardio literally means heart

I know, that's why I figure that as long as it pumps and I sweat and I get slightly out of breath, it's good.

Yep, but it doesn't mean you'll lose weight, if that's your goal. Even a 10k at your weight is maybe 700 cals.

I'd also be concerned about how long you'll be able to stick with it. Sounds quite boring. I'd go for gentle hike and increase the distance over time if I were you. At least you see some nature, and not the same 20 steps over and over again

Just do a lot of push ups in a short amount of time.
Strive for 250 in a 5 minutes.

>Yep, but it doesn't mean you'll lose weight, if that's your goal.

It's not. It's primarily for my heart and because I think it might make me feel better overall.

>I'd also be concerned about how long you'll be able to stick with it. Sounds quite boring
I haven't done it too often. It is quite boring but I just meditate about things as I do and it's fine for 30 minutes or so, which is my max, I think.

I have a strength program which is my normal program. The cardio stuff is new.

I don't think I'll ever be able to do 250 in 5 minutes.

Well OP.
Whatever makes your heart beat very fast,is good.
If you don't want to do push ups,do squats max squats.
Try to get to 250 squats,in under 5 minutes.
Lower the rest intervals each time for better heart gains.

>Try to get to 250 squats,in under 5 minutes.
In a row???

Same question for the pushups. I do 10 pushups as part of my routine, 5 sets. I can go higher, but past 16, I risk getting injured.

No user.
You do 50 push ups,for example, and it takes you 1 minute.
Try doing 50 push ups,and lower the amount to 40 seconds.
The point of this training is to build cardiovascular health.
You need to give yourself less time to rest.
That's it.
But you still must rest.
But if you feel like resting is for bitches,do 1000 push ups under an hour.
If it takes you another 2 minutes to do the next,50 push ups,try to lower it to 1,and repeat.
This will make you fit as fuck.

Have you tried going out for a brisk walk user

Noted.

Yes. Not an option anymore.

How come its not an option user, what happened?

It's complicated. I'd rather walk my stairs than go outside.

Wtf is wrong with your knees

It doesn't matter. I think I figured out the issue and it has to do with flexibility, hamstrings, kneecaps. It's painful if I ever try to run. I once tried to run for an hour, it took me a month to recover.

what reason why you can't go swimming?

Psychological/physical reasons we don't need to debate here. I just can't go swim. I used to.

Op is being such a bitch about the simplest questions, most definitely will not make it

NOW I'm interested, listen, you've already failed mate, sorry to tell you over the internet but it's just true, can't answer any easy questions, thinks walking up and down the stairs will achieve anything.

Also if your knee hurts.
It could be because of strong quads,or weak hamstrings.
Or vice versa.
