Hey Jow Forums, I need aesthetics advice... This is one month of beard growth, I just didn't shave because I inceled the fuck out for my exams and haven't been going out or going to occasions where I have to look good.
I'm 20, is there any possibility my "beard" grows more during the next few years? Or can I improve the growth in general? I actually like my jawline and like how my face looks without a beard but I'd wanna try a Conor McGregor type thing, just to know how it looks...
I know man, I obviously don't like how it looks, just went lazy for a month. Does the 0.5 shave improve the beard in any way?
Chase Jones
My beard has come through a little more from 20-30. But no, you have basically zero beard. You will not get much better than this.
Shaving it will make no difference to it's growth. He's telling you it doesn't look good and you should just stay clean shaven.
Jacob Thompson
Alright gotcha!

Sorry senpai but you do not have the genetics for facial hair. Just shave, I would say maybe you could rock a moustache but to be honest the hair on your face is too wispy and fluffy, like a duckling. Some guys just can't do it and it looks bad if they try - you are one of those guys. That's not necessarily a bad thing, you just need to embrace the clean shaven look, you don't look like an ugly guy so you'll be fine I'm sure.
It's pretty likely that you'll develop more facial hair in the next few years, and it will start to grow in a lot faster. But I wouldn't count on it turning into a full-fledged beard if that's what you've got just now. When I was 19 it took about 5 weeks to grow enough facial hair to justify calling it a beard, it was patchy and grew really slow. Now at 24 it takes me 3-4 days to grow a beard. So yeah it will come out more probably within the next few years, desu guys keep getting hairier the older they get so it could even keep developing when you're 40+.
Maybe some people on here would tell you to take hair growth stuff, I don't know anything about that so won't comment. I'd say just don't worry about it and shave, it's not a big deal
some beards can show up as late as 40 years old but desu dont expect to ever have one i noticed that working at a construction site my beard noticeably improved its growth idk maybe get a shit tier physical part time job or something

>i can only grow a shitty goatee >my cheeks are bare at least i have a strong jaw
Hudson Hill
The problem is that you are wearing a V neck
Lincoln Mitchell
Im 29 and still have patchy facial. I just have a little bit of pubes on chin under lip and on the stache. As I grow older it grows in faster and thicker. Nothing you can do if you don't want to try rogain or something. Just rock the clean shave look. At 29 I have maybe 30% of the hair this guy does
Isaiah Price
That's literally my dad's clothes kek, I'm at my parent's house.. the room also looks like 20 years old because it is.
Daniel Cook
that is a DISGUSTING mustache. you should be ashamed of yourself
Logan Butler
That's your beard after a month? I thought mine was patchy and bad. Lad, just stay shaven. You got a fine enough jawline to stay bare. I need to get in the habit of shaving ~once a week but I just wanted to see how my shit grows out. So far, not great.
Nathan Richardson
No problem, actually now that I think about it I know a guy who had very similar beard growth to you, it didn't spread across his face but it did start to grow in thicker in his mid-20's and now he looks pretty decent with a tache and short goatee-type thing, kind of like Johnny Depp. You'll probably be able to do that at some point. But again don't worry about it either way, I can tell you look fine without it
What's your ethnicity? The only dudes I knew that had beard before 15, all were Arab looking.
Mason Adams
he's jawline looks good, are you retarded not that user
Jonathan Cooper
Not that guy but A lot of Irish guys get facial hair in their teens. I had similar growth to OP at like 13, and a lot of guys end up with a full-on beard by the time they're 16

Don’t post that shit here Go the leddit
Josiah Sanders
Minoxidil. Or hormones /thread
Ryder Perez
I'm 18 and still no beard. However my father said his beard started growing at 20. Maybe same will happen to me. But i'm not that desperate for beard because i don't want to be associated with basedboys
Juan Williams
If you REALLY want a beard you could use minoxidil. It will fuck up your face while you're using it (goes back to normal when you stop) but the beard growth is almost always terminal.
Though I think using chemicals to grow a beard is retarded. Just shave it.
German / Polish / English, average mutt. I'm a hairy fucker though. Full back, shoulder, stomach, chest, etc.
Carter Kelly
Beards were cool for the past ~15 years, they're not really that cool anymore. The fashion is clean shaven now, 'taches will probably come back soon, they're making a bit of a comeback already but they're still a bit obscure and unpopular. But prepare to see more of those in a few years.
Are you American? I've noticed that Americans seem to have more issues growing facial hair than Europeans. Dunno if that's just coincidence
Angel Cooper
Eastern European actually.
Adam Bennett
Come to think of it I don't often see East Euros with facial hair either, but maybe they all shave. desu I think most guys don't get proper beards until they're in their 20's anyway so you probably just need to wait a little longer
Gabriel Fisher
dis you? His jawline is ABOVE AVERAGE and it MOGS yours.
His jaw is shit tier desu. His chin is not sharp and it's recessed. His ramus is not vertical. His lower third overall is very small compared to his face. You're just mad because your jaw looks even worse than his.
Logan Harris
I don't know man, almost every girl gave me compliments on it. I think I can improve it too by training my neck, had to stop lifting because of a shoulder injury and hyped to get back into the gym.
Joseph Morgan
They're cool in welfare and lower working class, same as tattoos
Camden Carter
Not old enough to grow a beard, but I think I have good genetics for it - both my dad and my grandfather had great moustaches at some point. Also, generally, the hair on our heads is extremely thick.
Guys with recessed chins looks like neanderthals when they're jutting their jaw.
Landon Russell
im mirin the jaw
Tyler Walker
I'm hardly jutting my jaw, I just have a natural overbite and line my lower teeth up with my upper teeth "naturally". So it's how I should look, generally.
Also, whites have the most neanderthal DNA in the world at 2+% - It's why we're the world's strongest, as opposed to have africans (no neanderthal DNA) are the best runners.
green stag sounds like a copy of golden lion honestly
Adrian Jenkins
I've been taking biotin and minox for a month and I've legit seen real gains.
Landon Garcia
like it's nice and all but it definitely gives that feeling
Luke Foster
It was actually inspired more by the names of bands in Berserk that I grew up with. Golden isn't a colour.
Hudson Hughes
Snälla snagga resten också eller fixa en mjukare övergång

Dw, (writing in english so everyone knows this ..) it was a ONE TIME THING, I am never cutting my hair like that again - It's a historically accurate viking haircut from the 700s, when it was just called "the dane fashion" after vikings who had it.
Bentley Stewart
cool i dont even know what you are talking about but the similarites both in names structure and personality behind them give that feeling golden is a color tho
Nathaniel Collins
Why are you trying to look like viking while you're obviously not white?
Nicholas King
>swede with 100% swedish parents and grandparents >these eyes and brown hair
You might be able to. My hair has gotten thicker with age. Beards that use to be meh are full faster, and chest hair that wasn't that great is becoming a carpet
Carson Campbell
All Europeans originally had light hair. You hair is too dark. Light brown is acceptable for men, but this is subhuman tier.
Charles Price
honestly, I had a full neckbeard+side burns by 16, but none on cheeks/mustache (which obviously looked awful so I kept shaven) and it stayed that way from 16-20 with no real improvement, so I figured that was all I was ever going to be able to grow and just kinda accepted it.
then at around 21 it was like every month my cheeks were more filled out with hairs, and finally a goatee is starting to grow. I'm 22 now and in the last year it was like I hit puberty again in terms of facial hair growth. at this rate i'll probably have a respectable beard by 24 or so
essentially, don't give up hope OP, although I won't lie you may never get much more facial hair growth than that
Colton Reyes
neanderthal brah. rather not post my face on Jow Forums
desu you shouldn't grow your beard to that length without taking serious care for it, like constantly trimming it and oiling it etc, you should probably get a barber to tidy it up otherwise it looks awful and soiboi-ish. Like pic related, that's a huge beard but look how neat it is, that takes effort.
I've always tended towards having a beard but in recent months I've just been going clean shaven, then growing it for like a week and a half before shaving again. So I'm constanly at a happy medium between clean and a neat short beard or thick stubble.
Most europeans at 18 have shit facial hair, I'm 20 and most of my friends can get those really thin light moustaches at best - I just have light hair all over my face, so it's just a matter of time now I guess. Basically looks like yours, but some dark straws here and there.
Levi Reyes
Shave and wait until you're a bit older. When you find that you need to shave at least once a week, try again and see what it looks like
Jose Sanders
Ask your father when did he grow a solid beard.
Mason King
Ok, so I will shave and wait some years. Thank you guys.
