Has anyone EVER lost belly fat while at the same time gained muscle?

Has anyone EVER lost belly fat while at the same time gained muscle?

Hard mode: not fucking with his health and all that.

you have to use steroids to do that

Yeah, doing high protein/fat low carb. Not keto.

easy. become completely sedentary so that you have exactly 0 muscle. then get just barely underweight so that you have a little fat but mostly look like a skeleton. then start working out.

It's possible if you almost don't have muscle at all. If your generics isn't complete shit first time your weight will stay the same because you'll burn fat and gain muscles. Works only for dyel. Once you're somewhat advanced only roids or god-tier generics can make it work.

complete novices or severely overweight trainees

oh that may be the case for me
am eating 3200kcals a day and gained 8lbs in 1month but after that i didnt gain anymore weight for a another month

I did on IF.

maybe >IF
huh?

Yes. But it's noob gains. I lost most of my skinny fat belly, I've got a 'meh' Sixpack now, and my lifts have all been going up steadily. I'm starting to try and eat above maintenance now.

noob gains only.

if you're fat it doesnt matter, simply losing weight is an exponential improvement.

true dat. lost 20 pounds that way and people tell me I got bigger all the time

im doing it but gaining strength, not muscle (probably, my weight stayed more or less similar so maybe fat is being sostituted by muscle but surely not a relevant amount)

I bulked from being way too skinny and now I’m in a sort of skinny fat position. I’m now trying to eat at a caloric deficit to lose weight. Is this a good idea

shox progress pics

Pic on left is senior year of high school on right is junior year of college. Took 3 years of unrestricted eating of a shit ton of junky calories to just get here.

>IF
Intermittent Fasting

you look exactly the same jesus christ
my bet here is that you were not counting the cals and you were undereating, but Im no expert
what was your program

Dude I went from 135 pounds to 200 there’s literally no way I look the same

In fact, for a year I ate at 4000-5000 calories per day

Im just telling what Im seeing, maybe annother angles would have helped

I'm at this point right now.

how much did you improve your lifts?

You're sucking your gut aren't you.
Bulking with snacks at a constant level isn't a good idea btw

No I’m not, but this is After the gym so I’m sorta pumped up.

A lot. Can squat 350 bench 200 and ohp 150 now.

Kek

U look like shit just end it

>mfw you're 10 pounds heavier but looks twice as bad as me.

I'm DYEL as FUUUUCK but man have some dignity

Yes. Stop eating carbs

noob gains are a thing so yes

You can easily get noob gains while cutting

I don’t actually know what to do at this point. I’ll keep lifting but it’s not showing

I also want to say that I didn’t lift for the years between senior year of high school and junior year of college. I mainly just played basketball. I’ve been consistently doing stronglifts for about 1 1/2 months now

Yes the more muscle you have the faster your body will burn fat. Don't listen to idiots who recommend a paleo or high fat diet. Your body runs on sugars (carbs) so give it what it wants. Take up high intensity weight training, the most efficient way to exercise.

The only thing that grow was hair on you chest. Lmao at you

This. I went from 181lbs 20% BF to 181lbs 14% BF in two months by following a keto diet and doing a bodyweight fitness routine with some light weights 3 times per week. I started with a flabby gut and now my abs are visible.

Intermittent fasting with low calories will get everyone here a 6 pack

Your strength will suffer a lot though

Can’t have it all

he climbed the mountain of Ironforge

This.
Not gonna lose fat super fast or build as much muscle as on a bulk but it's decent middleground.
Especially in the summer if you want to keep lifting while trying to look better

Please elaborate

>shit ton of junky calories

and people say clean eating is a meme

HAHAHHAAHAA

Wow you discovered how to turn off the black and white filter on your phone's camera.
Great job user.

You don't lift. Not even once ever.

I’ve been lifting for 3 months. I wouldn’t say that I look completely like I’ve never lifted weights. My legs are at a pretty good size.

>skipping chest day

I have a hard time believing those are your numbers if you look like that. If you're not lying then do IF. Do cardio every other day, lift on days you're not running to retain strength. Then switch to bodybuilding split routine after you're 10% bf and stop doing cardio.

I don’t my chest just doesn’t develop well or as fast. I’ve had a very large ass since childhood and I could pack on muscle there more easily, I’ve always had a malnourished torso

god i bet you look terrible in clothes

>this is After the gym so I’m sorta pumped up.
I am sorry for your loss

18/6 IF? Is that really going to work? I’m willing to try anything and if I see results I’ll commit. I’m new to weight lifting consistently and I’m really trying all I can to fix my body. Any recommended cardio?

I don’t, I have an attractive face and I guess that caused me to lack in the body building area. It wasn’t something I ever got into until recently.

Like I’ve said, I’ve ony been lifting consistently for a couple of months. I posted in this thread because I went from Holocaust to a bit pudgy. It took eating a shit ton of bad food for years to get to the point I’m at today. If I would’ve clean bulked i would’ve never gained weight. I was 5’10, 135 in high school, I’m 6’2 and 200 now. That’s an improvement, even if my muscle mass hasn’t really grown with it. I’m ready to fully commit to gaining muscle and cutting now.

Read the sticky.

why would someone do that? you need a calorie deficit for reducing, muscle building needs calorie surplus, you should hang yourself cockroach

Yes this has been happening to me. I started 4 months ago but have both lost 8 inches on my gut and gained noticeable muscle mass, i was what normies would think of as builtfat before.

were you eating at maintenance or surplus?

Not totally true, your body can build muscle on a deficit if it thinks it needs to. It gains the energy from the fat you're losing.

I HAVE gained muscle while losing fat, but it's not doable long term. I was working out full body 3 times a week and doing body weight exercises + cardio on rest days with a 750-1k Calorie deficit. You have to lift OFTEN, but drop your lifts below your max or you will injure yourself.

1k below your maintenance
how much were you eating

1700 Calories

I’ve been lifting 2 months and am already a lot stronger, but I’m 6’2” 220 and haven’t changed in weight so I guess recomp isn’t a meme

I still have a lot of fat to lose but I definitely have less and am wearing 36 instead of 38 waist pants now despite weighing the same

I did. Went from a 40 inch waist to 32 inches in about a year all while on a mild cut. Since I have broad shoulders I developed quite a v-taper as well. Still have some very stubborn lower abdominal fat that only seems to respond to fasting or a very low carb diet though.

literally every skinny fat that started doing sports

im planning to eat 1900, how was your energy levels?

so many dumb replies in this thread

this happens, ALL THE TIME with weight loss studies. When resistance training is combined with a caloric deficit, EVERYONE builds muscle. even the women build muscle, so dont start talking to me about testosterone you boring faggots

hell, they even build muscle on VERY LOW calorie diets. We're talking fucking 1000 calories a day.

the standards for self improvement are just disgustingly low around here. Apparently anything at all of positive value happenning is only ever the result of taking 2 grams of trenbolone every week.

I felt pretty good but I was NEET at the time so it's not saying much. Cardio + gym was the only time I left the house.

CICO faggot

Don't listen to these faggots. I'm doing it right now. Fasted cardio in the morning, eat some carbs and protein during the day, lift at night, eat some protein before bed

Are you actually retarded? Tell me why you wouldn't be able to.

This fucking nigger here knows what’s what.

It's called "keto".

Show pics then faggot

I would have been eating at a slight surplus with junk i'm sure now i eat a 500 cal deficit clean with full micros and macros

Winner

Quite generous with the penor censor are we?

Eh sorta. When I was in HS I fucked around in the gym. Second two pics are after starting a PPL split. I lost a lot of fat and gained a fair amount of muscle. I ran a lot everyday in the second pic, and cut down my cardio a little in the third pic. Mostly I tried to just get around 120-140g of protein a day and didn't really count my calories.

Attached: progress.jpg (3444x1793, 2.55M)

I should do a steady cut to keep my current gains right? I hate my gut but I dont want to lose my muscle

Because in order to gain muscle after you're very short newbie gains phase you need to eat at a surplus 2/2 calories left over to build muscle with and in order to lose weight you need to eat under Surplus to lose fat which means no building muscle so you choose either to lose weight or grow muscle you can't do both at the same time outside of a very short newbie window or steroids
