Correction; the law doesn't even concern children directly, it concerns the usage of anyone's, adult or child, DNA without their consent. And as it stands, this is very similar to the USA. A private DNA test can't be used in court to fight a paternity claim, you still need a court-ordered one to dispute it. Just like in France.
