Here’s what you should do if you want to do it right from the start and not have to take steps backwards later down the line
1. So Starting Strength or Strong Lifts until Intermediate lifts (use Strength Symmetry to find your 5RM intermediate lifts for your current bodyweight)
2. Switch to Texas Method or Madcows (this is SS or SL for intermediate lifters)
3. Once you finish Texas Method or Madcows you will be a 99% percentile lifter and you can now run PPL
Or you can not listen to me and just start with PPL and never make any progress and restart the process again when you’ve matured enough to do it right from the start.

I agree with but you can also add in some extra upper body work, specifically pull-ups, curls, and dips. Also get the Texas method ebook by Justin and you’ll be able to progress a lot longer

If you plan going down the natty road, any routine that has you doing heavy compounds to add weight to the bar will work wonders.
One thing a lot of guys forget is that the most successful BBers, Mr Olympia/Universe winners etc, are not only aestheticly pleasing, but also very very strong, and started off benching, pressing, deadlifting and squatting heavy.

If you actually read the damn SS book, you can program in chins/curls/crushers/dips, hell he even added a form section for the movements (lots of people will deny this - because they haven't read the book, but Rip has a section on how to perform these movements correctly, and where and why a trainee could add them). The cookie cutter posted online everywhere is only a base template.

PPL is good for bodybuilding because of its volume (number of exercises/sets per muscle group) without a huge focus on legs (I assume you don't care too much about legs. But make sure you're adding weight to your exercises PPL or not.

i have no idea. I never counted them in the past. I always eat the same thing everyday, so when i add or remove something, i know wether i start losing or gaining weight beforehand.
Currently eating 2800-3000 calories. I think thats my maintenance.

Basically i read SS and Practical programming for strength training. The first cover the lifting technique and other basic stuff and is good during your LINEAR progression.
The second tells you what to do when your linearity stops.
I can tell you that the number reported in practical programming for strength training, which tells where the average person will plateau on the linear progression, are a GOOD hint. So, get "practical programming for strength training", find where you will be and intermediate lifter. After that point your linear progression will very likelly stop, and you will have to use a progression treaining (like the texas method).
I was particularly stubborn and kept squatting 3x5 3 times a week at PR till 142Kg. It took me exactly 6 months. Then i decided it was time to stop wasting my life and start a periodization.
SS/SL/GSLP/GZCLP is all the same, basically, and is what you should do as a novice.
The basic rule is:
* 3-5 months
* 3-5 days a week
* 3-5 exercises
* 3-5 sets
* 3-5 reps
Deadlift, Squat, Bench, OHP.
Add chinups, rows, curls and tri's whenever you want.
Add weight every workout until you can't.
Watch every single form video on youtube.'
Film and review every single set and rep.
TM is horrible though. Don't do that shit.
DAY 1
CHEST & CALVES
Incline Barbell Bench Press – Warm-up sets and then 3 working sets
Incline Dumbbell Bench Press – 3 working sets
Flat Barbell Bench Press – 3 working sets
Optional: Dip (Chest Variation) – 3 working sets (weighted if possible)
Calf Workout A
If you can’t do dips, find out whether your gym has an assisted dip machine. If it
doesn’t and you still want to do 3 more sets in your workout, you can do 3 sets of
flat dumbbell presses.
DAY 2
BACK & ABS
Barbell Deadlift – Warm-up sets and then 3 working sets
Barbell Row – 3 working sets
Wide-Grip Pull-Up or Chin-Up – 3 working sets (weighted if possible)
Optional: Close-Grip Lat Pulldown – 3 working sets
Optional: Barbell Shrugs – 2 working sets
3 to 6 ab circuits
If you have lower-back issues, remember that you can swap the deadlift for a
more lower-back-friendly variation like the sumo or hex deadlift, or you can drop it
altogether and choose another “approved” exercise like the T-bar row.

Seated or Standing Barbell Military Press – Warm-up sets and then 3 working sets
