no

>Doesn't just do rowing machine instead

Pussy.

Why, do you think it is?

pretty much
only dyels and retards do them

What is better exercise for the same muscles?

Do retarded high reps while maintaining decent form. Like 20-30.

Barbell rows, chinups, or pull ups on top of regular deadlifts

No. Its literally one of the best back exercises there is.

>regular deadlifts
Sorry, I don't lift for injuries.

1. your form is shit
2. your volume is not high enough

Unlike shitty lifts like deadlifts that dont target the back well, seated rows hit the entire back, which means you have to actually do a lot of them to tire out all the muscles progressively

i think is gret to relieve lower back pain, it also helped me with posture. other than that heavy rows and chin/pull up are better for back development and strenght

Love that exercise. I don't lean all the way forward like that faggot in the picture though

how is that shit? It’s a great exercise for your back

i honestly find this worthless when i do as in OP pi, but if i sit straight the entire time with my knees slightly bent i get a hell of a pump, anyone else experience this? pretty much the same thing with lat pulldowns, i always see people at the gym bending their backs so much they're almost in a lying position as they pull down, am i the dyel one when i focus on sitting straight up?

Only thing I miss about the gym is having a cable row available to me. My back doesn't like to grow and this helped.

Now i'm stuck doing pulls, chins and bent over barbell rows. Just isn't doing the trick.

Titan cable attachment has been on back-order for like, 5 months

I sit straight up when doing the cable rows, but I lean back when doing lat pull downs. How the hell do you even do those sitting straight up?

It's a good way to get extra back volume after you are already exhausted from barbell stuff

>perfect rowing position without putting any stress on the lower back
>allows for a full range of motion while using a good amount of weight
>can do drop sets easily if you want to do high volume
>Jow Forums claims its shit
Every time. Reminder to never come here for advice, only for bants.

how i do it? i just simply don't lean back since that's where i usually lose contact with my lats. looks something like this: youtube.com/watch?v=n8HFAdUOkkw

i mean logically, don't you put the most emphasis on your lats by sitting straight up, since you won't have to engage your lower back muscles by leaning back? no?

Do Pendlay Row

It is good
My favourite machine after Vertical Row

ls and retards

>>perfect rowing position without putting any stress on the lower back

this is why I do them on my pull day, to rest my lower back a bit from diddlys, squats, barbell rows, hyperextensions and stuff

t. ULxPPL

the real reason for it is because you're moving your entire body at this point which uses all the muscles in your torso not just your back. this is why pro trainers tell you to not swing your whole body when you do curls and shit, because at this point instead of isolating muscles your just using your entire body and also momentum to lift

use the wide bar for the rows
and the attachment in the picture use for the pulldown
huge difference

this is the only exercise that gives me a pump in the back
