I've been blending frozen fruit and 2% milk and drinking the smoothies as a snack how fucked am I?
Is fruit healthy or too much sugar
as long as you're watching your calories you are fine. sure too much fruit sugar is bad but it's not as bad as refined white sugar per say and at least you're getting fiber and vitamins along with it.
No. Sugar in fruit is fine in literally unlimited amounts as long as you're not just drinking fruit juice. There have been studies where they gave participants ridiculous amounts, like 30 servings per day, of fruit and found no adverse effects that sugar consumption would cause such as insulin resistance.
Milk on the other hand has documented negative effects and you should limit your intake.
Also OP you can try mixing other things in, raw cacao powder/nibs tastes great and is one of the healthiest things you can eat. Also cinnamon or ginger powder, and vanilla extract.
that is if the fruit is eaten. Not blended.
Depends on the fruit, iirc for berries even when blended they actually have a positive effect on blood sugar, but less so than whole berries. But for some fruits blending them will cause a blood sugar spike.
>is fruit healthy
idiot. yes its healthy you tard
and dont worry about the sugar in milk and fruit, if you go hard enough in the gym then you should be searching for those calories and carbs. I wouldnt worry about it unless you're already a fat ass or trying to get to 5% body fat or something.

>sure too much fruit sugar is bad but it's not as bad as refined white sugar per say and at least you're getting fiber and vitamins along with it.
Jesus someone for once actually qualified why sugar from fruit is superior to refined sugar and was honest that the sucrose is metabolized into glucose and fructose is both cases.
You shouldn't think of things as "healthy/unhealthy", with few exceptions. Fruit is mostly sugar in terms of macros and so if you eat a fuckton of fruit, that's still sugar. However, they're generally low calorie for what you're consuming compared to processed foods and you're getting vitamins, minerals, fiber, etc along with the sugar.
So fruit is fine. Unless you're doing some keto diet, obviously. Just don't think "it's healthy so I can eat a billion pounds of bananas and mangoes" or whatever. Also try to eat actual fruit rather than things like fruit juice or smoothies.
so if I blend the fruit it shouldn't matter should it I mean I haven't taken anything out of if
How much sugar is in an apple as compared to a typical candy bar?
i mean if youre really lifting hard it wont matter, unless you're already fat i guess
i eat like 2 bananas a day and probably couldnt bear more than that
do you really think it matters dude? of course not. just keep lifting and you will get there. if you really want fast weight loss progress just cut out all carbs but thats really hard and you will prob quit. just keep going bro. fruit it better than your fatty snacks. youre doing great
Sorry user, you literally have diabetes now. Might as well end it.
>2018
>still consuming diabetes bombs
It's because fruit has a type of fiber called "pectin" in it which stops sucrose from being absorbed. Whole fruit is very healthy and shouldn't be avoided.
Go for fruit with less sugar, blueberries, blackberries, avacados. Limit the amount of fruit you eat. Once you've got all the micros and fruit fiber you need, there is no benefit to eating more.
>blending the fruit changes the chemical composition
kek
Fructose is metabolized even slower than starch, that includes beans
he never said that.
there is no difference between eating a fruit or eating a blended fruit
Ive heard blending destroys vegetable fiber. Is the same true for pectin?
and how much is that?
What a silly question, it depends on your dietary needs. Find that out, calculate your macros, and you'll get an idea of how fruit fits into your diet.
I dont eat candy so no idea, I would have to look it up. Not sure why it matters though.
How about raspberries?
Cause my smoothies are basically blueberries and raspberries.
With a shitton of spinich
>150g skyr
>100g frozen strawberries
>200ml milk
>Honey to taste (no more than 2 tbsp fatty)
