For every study supporting meat there is 2 the sprout up with opposite views, and visa versa. It's this merry go round of researchers coming to shitty conclusions without enough evidence so they can get published. Honestly is there any true undeniable evidence to support meats. Also apparently beans are fucking bad for you, what? This industry is such bullshit. I'm asking because I eat a pound of lean beef a day plus like another half pound of chicken and apparently I should be dead. I eat no processed foods or sugar at all.

Well the bad part about meat is the tryptophan(increases serotonin) and the Iron(when people say red meat causes cancer, it's specifically because of the iron content). Both of which can be mitigated by drinking milk whenever you eat meat.

Personally I get most of my protein from goats milk and gelatin. Although when I don't have meat for awhile, I feel crappy, so I have beef liver 1X a week and then some homemade beef jerky another 1 or 2 times per week.

There's significantly more studies on mice than humans in this domain. But. Take a mouse and put him on a high fat high carb diet. They get fat, they lose muscle mass, and they lose insulin sensitivity and all the hallmarks of cardiovascular disease the western world has. Take those very same fat, weak, insulin insensitive mice and split them into two groups. One low carb and high fat, the other high carb and low fat. Both groups lose the weight, regain lean mass, lose the cardiovascular disease symptomology.

So pick one. Fat or carbs, whichever suits you and your lifestyle best. If you want to go the carb rout then choose lean meats to minimize fat, and get plenty of fish for the essential fats. If you're going the fat route then go for it all, making sure to get your fish still to offset the omega imbalance in grain fed livestock.

wrong, i'm high fat AND high carb, macro ratio actually does not matter. what does matter is not eating more protein than you need, and the type of calories you're getting for fats and carbs. complex carbs and fiber are the only carbs i'd be eating, simple sugars are just simply not needed and will cause insulin spikes. p/mufas are preferable to saturated fats, but you need to make sure o3 to o6 ratio is near 1:1. having a little saturated fat is unavoidable no matter meat eater or vegan, it just shouldn't be your main source of fat as it's not even an essential fatty acid
