i used one like that for a year thinking i was getting a better shave.
it was all a meme, i wasn’t at all.
i bought an electric wet and dry shaver by philips when it was on offer for £45 and it is infinitely better.

Safety razor is shit and just a meme.
I've done everything by the book and it always took more time + made my skin worse. Yes I used a quality razor.

Just buy standard Gillette cartridges and shave like a normal person.

I get a better shave with a Safety Razor, and it's much cheaper than disposable cartridges.

An electric is quicker, but it doesn't shave as close.

To put it in perspective, a package of safety razors costs like $20 and lasts over a year.

An electric razor needs a new $50 head every 6 months.

No it isn't. I've got Feather blades and using a safety razor still sucks. It's just a pretentious shit.
Instead I rather use my money and buy whatever thousands of years of technological improvements brought us. Cartridges that won't slice half of my face off and takes less than half of the time to completely shave my face.

Been using a maggard DE for a while now and it's totally worth it for the savings in blades alone I usually get a clean shave but there are still some weird nicks here and there that end up getting infected. Overall 10/10 wish I bought a smaller handle and less aggressive blades.

I find using a safety razor shaves more cleanly, but not as close. Basically it actually cuts the hair, while disposable and electric rip it out of the folicle. I'd rather shave more often comfortably than literally rip hair out of my face.

Bought this one recently. It came with a few mild blades meant for newbies. I was pretty careful at first then got cocky but no cuts... Until I put on aftershave then blood started coming from my pores in like a dozen different places.

Im not giving up on it though I think I just need more practice to be skilled at. It's super cheap and the plastic shitty razors get dull soooo fast and cause me to break out not to mention they're overpriced as fuck.

You can buy a safety razor for like 30 bucks from a number of sellers and razor blades can be bought from anywhere. It's really hard to market a safety razor, it's too generic like marketing a hammer

That is what I used to use, gave me horrible razor burn. Literally the only advantage of it over de is the trimmer did a nice job on my balls and asshole.

I have a large adam's apple and it's SUCH a bitch to get a good shave around it. I always end up with cuts on my neck, I hate it.

You need to use a really sharp blade, keep it at a shallow angle, almost parallel to your skin, and use light but confident strokes. I can go from hobo scruff to baby face in 1 pass if I do the full hot towel routine

i usually only legit shave my neck and i use a beard trimmer with no guard to get stubble on the rest of my face. is a straight razor something i could use?
