What are some meals you make that promote general heath and your fit related goals? Obviously high protein is a plus, along with micronutrients from veggies. Here’s what I prepared today:

Chicken breast
Black beans
Broccoli
Spinach
Feta cheese
Avocado

Prepared with olive oil, red pepper powder, and turmeric

Even the feta if you want to be generous. People often suggest eating broccoli and chicken, I just added a few more ingredients to make it more filling and nutritious

I'm agreeing with your mindset, OP. I'm against the guy you were responding to. You're doing a good job by mixing things up with various other foods like beans, spinach, avocado, and so on.

as for other foods, well that all depends on your personal tastes and your budget. Something I enjoy doing with chicken is making chicken fajitas. Just pan fry some seasoned chicken cut into strips, take that out. Then chop up a bunch of onions and bell peppers into thin wedges/strips and fry those too to get them nice and soft and cooked down. Cook those with minced up garlic and jalapeno and throw any spices you want into that as well. After it's nice and cooked down, just reintroduce the chicken strips to warm the whole thing through, and bam, there you go. Either serve on tortillas (which I like to crisp on up on the frying pan) or just eat it as is.

Really as long as you're a competent cook and you like cooking home meals instead of eating prefab garbage, you're gonna do just fine.

I make a lot of smoothies with spinach, spring mix, blueberries, and almond milk. Usually alongside greek yogurt or meat. It's the easiest way to eat leafy greens IMO and blueberries are very micronutrient dense themselves.

One time I ate a fuckton of spinach that I cooked on my stove. It ended up not being a good idea. I guess I ate over a threshold, after which your body is incapable of digesting anymore before it passes along. Ended up literally shitting out spinach leaves and having to pull a few of them out of my asshole.

Im saying that eating like this isnt gonna really help you with gains because its just a bunch of greens and definitely not enough protein. And all those greens and beans (fiber) are just gonna fill you up even more preventing you from eating real gainer foods that we need. Unless you plan to eat meals like this 5-6 times a day, youre good but i cant imagine most people doing that. Pretty much anything can be made better by replacing or reducing the carbs and hyping up the protein with lean meats or beans. Also hot sauce on everything and crock pot meats are great for meal prep.
