I think I finally get it now. People on Jow Forums are very lonely. They don't even post of a board where there are consistent profiles, meaning any friendly interactions they may have quickly fade away into the ether. When they get (You)'s, they get a rush of dopamine, fulfilling their need for social interaction while safely isolated in their moms basement. To ensure the most (You)'s, they find posting controversial threads works best. Pandering to anons isn't very effective, as they shit on you for trying to suck up. A good joke thread is 1 in 10,000. Controversial threads are easy to make those. Take conventional wisdom or popular opinion, and post the opposite of that. If everyone on Jow Forums says do the OHP, Bench, Squat, Deadlift, Rows, Chins, Curls, and Triceps Extensions, then just post a thread omitting at least half of them or more, and anons will flock to your thread to argue with one another about which exercises are most effective in a training regimen.
