Stopped by the drug store and decided to get my heart rate checked.

What does it mean if I have a low resting heart rate (54 BPM) but I'm in the blood pressure category for "prehypertension?"

You uh... didn't ask the pharmacy folks at the drug store?

Do you eat bananas or take blood pressure medication of any kind (even if not taken for BP, but is a side effect).
Usually that's the only way.

I have exact opposite problem. Really good blood pressure, insanely high rate hate.
I have severe anxiety problems.

read a book and stop replying when you don't know the answer to the question i am so sick of you fucking normie uninformed faggots get off my board

pharma jews recently lowered the hypertension cutoff from over 120/80 to 110/70. Most fucking 15 year olds have a pressure over these values, meaning that the diagnosis of "pre-hypertension" now exists, even though hypertension (the diagnosis that exists because symptoms start at) is at 140/90. obviously this means providers now have a medical justification for prescribing hypertension medication and making money even though you most likely DO NOT need it.

I wouldn't look too much into it unless you have some family risk factors and/or personal risk factors for hypertension (diabetes, obesity, sedentary lifestyle) etc. And even then, hypertension is a preventable condition.

>Do you eat bananas or take blood pressure medication of any kind (even if not taken for BP, but is a side effect).

I eat one banana about every other day. I love them!

It could be many different reason. You would need to see a doctor to get a proper diagnosis.

>I wouldn't look too much into it unless you have some family risk factors and/or personal risk factors for hypertension (diabetes, obesity, sedentary lifestyle) etc. And even then, hypertension is a preventable condition.

Thanks user. I was confused because I do cardio 6 days out of the week and generally eat healthy. That said, my dad did die of a heart attack so I was a little worried. But to be honest, he didn't really take care of himself.

>run to a doctor when a fucking pharmacy blood pressure machine takes a single reading at a single time that qualified as a jewish funded scheme umbrella called "prehypertension"
i fucking hate idiots like you, you are useful idiot goys and you deserve all the pharma problems you have. fucking retard i swear.

buy a sphygmomanometer (bp cuff) and take a week or two's worth of trends. there are several very cheap (think 10 dollar) cuffs and stethoscopes (10 dollars) you can get a medical supply shop or even wal mart these days to test yourself over the period of a couple weeks to see.

if you're not having recurring symptoms of hypertension (dizziness, headache, vision changes, nausea, you can google these symptoms) and they aren't increasing during exercise or whatever you are probably ok. again, being informed is your best weapon against this bullshit

>if you're not having recurring symptoms of hypertension (dizziness, headache, vision changes, nausea, you can google these symptoms)

Absolutely none of these things. Ever.

>again, being informed is your best weapon against this bullshit

Then thanks again for informing me, user!

typical and expected, you were better off not replying at all you ego-salvaging normie faggot. get off of this site and go to the doctor, see if he will prescribe you prozac for the PTSD i just gave you, idiot.

I came in at 121/81 by the way. That just barely puts me in the "prehypertension" category, but I was still in the category.

100000000000000000% normal, and nothing to be worried about AT ALL. seriously. this "pre-hypertension" bullshit is just as bad as "pre-diabetes". pharma jew will never stop inventing problems for people to have so they can identify and run to the doctor to get their goy med fix.

t. nurse practitioner

Well what you have is usually caused by electrolyte balance issues.
Either too much or too little, in your case too little.
Could be thyroid.
Could be medication.

I honestly don't think anyone here would be qualified remotely to even guesstimate what is wrong with you.

Lowering your blood pressure could lower resting heart rate even more if you aren't careful. Could outright kill you in your sleep.

>t. nurse practitioner

Out of curiousity, how many doctors and pharmacists you know have Jewish last names?

STOP ANSWERING WHEN YOU HAVENT READ THE THREAD AND DONT KNOW WHAT THE FUCK YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT

WHY DO GOYS HAVE TO OPEN THEIR MOUTHS WHEN THEY KNOW NOTHING WHAT DRIVES THIS?

CONFUCIOUS SAY HE WHO KNOWS MOST SAY LEAST. SHUT THE FUCK UP

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I hope you're not really a nurse practitioner

>some random faggot who doesn't know anything about health related problems wants me to read his autistic rants
>don't read
>he continue to autistically rant and wonders why no one takes him seriously

It's ok little dude, this attitude is the same reason why no girl will pay attention to you.
No one likes a whiny little bitch.

what do you do for a living? what qualifies you to diagnose a 121/81 pressure as anything other than normal?

>gets called on the carpet for being uninformed goy
>gets defensive and tries to salvage his ego
typical and expected from retard normie scum.
>resorts to le virgin incel insult to try and "shame" me despite it being entirely unrelated to the thread

lmao @ u dude seriously, get blown out and stay blown out you uninformed, stupid, and easily manipulated pussy

Take it easy, user. You seem more likely to have a hypertensive crisis than OP here.

Dude like I said, it's ok.
No one cares about your opinion. No one is going to care.
If you can't grasp this you're going to have a hard time once you get into your twenties.

Just calm down,
Once again no one likes a whiny little bitch who autistically rages on an anonymous forum.
You might as well have a huge sign around your neck that says "I like to be cucked"
Why don't you go watch some cartoons or whatever kids like to do now days.

>takes time to reply
>whoa buddy take it easy i didn't even care in the first place
you are the reason why the world is shit and why this board went to shit. i want you to do something right for once in your life and kill yourself

lmao yup u mad. you're just ad hom now because you and i both know you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. i bet you're going to endlessly refresh the thread anyway to try and win this "argument" which really just consists of you projecting. go ahead and post your body while we're at it, i'll wait.

Who hurt you user?
Once again this is an anonymous website.
At the end of the day no one will know how many internet battles you won or lost.
No body will care, except for you.
You need serious help little man, you'll give yourself ED getting worked up like this.
Why don't you try going for a walk or something to take your mind off of it?

>talk about high blood pressure on Jow Forums with OP
>REE YOU'RE THE REASON THE WORLD IS BAD I HATE YOU MOM

10/10 personal problems, would read your life biography and how you were molested as a child.

honestly thank you for proving my point. i almost gave each of you the benefit of the doubt, but seeing as how you can't actually address the issue alongside having stupid, uneducated opinions, i seem to be right about each of you.

you will never amount to anything, no matter what mental gymnastics you do to justify being retarded after this thread is deleted. you two WILL reply to this point to get the last word in. i guarantee it.

>pharma jews recently lowered the hypertension cutoff from over 120/80 to 110/70

Wait, what? Got a link on that? With a few exceptions we never use meds to treat below a goal of

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC514035/

the abstract highlight here:
>The report was presented at the American Society of Hypertension meeting in New York last week and is being published in the Journal of the American Medical Association(2003;289: 2560-72 [PubMed]). Related guidelines from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute are on the institute's website (www.nhlbi.nih.gov/guidelines/hypertension).

>The new guidelines categorise blood pressure as normal (

Blood pressure thread?

Attached: 20180627_201131.jpg (4032x3024, 3.9M)

Mine is spiking by just reading this thread.

>>The new guidelines categorise blood pressure as normal (

i should add that the proposed change really isn't explicitly stated for medication intervention and diagnosis, any provider worth half a damn is not going to give you labetalol for a 121/81 pressure but the guidelines TECHNICALLY exist for justification to treat "pre hypertension". I dont have any faith in the organizations surrounding medical treatment anymore, always read between the lines.

miscommunication i think. OP's jew machine diagnosed him with pre htn when clearly not the case

Yeah, I really hate when they promote the autistic "soft-cutoff" shit where there's an infinite gradient of "do whatever you want lol". I don't know any practitioners who actually do that shit; everyone I know still just uses 140/90 as the rule of thumb.

>Out of curiousity, how many doctors and pharmacists you know have Jewish last names?
For doctors, a metric fuckton. In medschool selection process jews also use personal/tribal connections to pull strings and get land slots in schools they by all metrics should not be good enough to get into. I've seen this happen on a personal level several times. And of course the non-jews are all likely to be indians/arabs/asians.

IMO I prefer DOs to MDs nowadays simply because of how fucked up the selection process is. If you're a straight white (non-jewish) male you might as well not even bother applying for MD unless you have an MCAT in the high 30s. Meanwhile all the DOs I've known through rotations and locally are bro-tier and actually give a shit. Same with CRNPs

For pharmacists, very few. I should know since I am one. Probably because being a physician is the more prestigious profession.

Do you check your BP a lot, are you usually in the pre-hypertensive range? You might just have the genetic predisposition for high blood pressure (small/thick-walled vessels), so your resting heart rate tends to be low to compensate. If this is the case, and you are already low BMI and active, consider asking about getting on some kind of BP lowering medication since you are going to be high risk for atherosclerosis later in life if you ignore it.

>replies without reading thread
how can i get this to stop? asking for a friend

I skimmed through it and mainly just saw retardation.

Award for most beta poster on Jow Forums ever.
Let's go through the check list.

This guy is one step away from Rodgering up California again.

None and neither do you. I would guess you're maybe a nursing school drop out at best.

Lol

These machines are usually absolute shit. In many areas you can have your blood pressure taken no charge in clinics and fire stations, where they actually do it right. I have non-specific hypertension and have to take regular measurements. When I first started doing it I used those machines, and they would be over 30 points off what my own cuff showed.

If the numbers are still elevated, talk to your doctor. Beta blockers and ACE inhibitors for hypertension are effective and cheap as shit as long as you get generics. I'm on Atenelol and Lotrel (amlodipine besylate and benazepril hcl), which costs about $3 a month.
