I'm 5'10/178cm, 58kg/129lbs, my lifts are early intermediate level and I am still skinnyfat, 18% bodyfat, while I constantly see average people here with similar height, a bit more weight and bodyfat, but significantly higher lifts, like 3+plate deadlift and stuff like that

What is that? Thinner than average bones? Weaker tendons, different proportions putting me at disadvantage? Or are you people lying here left and right, and guys similar to me just don't really share their stats?

Seriously though, everyone has a different frame. Sounds like you have a smaller frame and maybe lower bone density (i.e. more feminine traits).

I used to believe I was 'just a skinny person' until I started eating what I normally eat and adding extra calories and tracking it, things like a pint of milk and some peanut butter before bed.

I've gained like 20lbs, I no longer think I'm genetically weak.

There is absolutely no such thing as being genetically thin. No one on this planet has a metabolism fast enough to shrug off more calories than the average person in a 24 hour period for maintenance.

The only skinny people are those who do not consistently eat enough every day. You aren't eating 4000 calories per day and staying skinny unless you're shitting out totally undigested food.

There's so many variables that could make one skinny or fat or average, yeah genetics has SOME to do with it, but that's just an excuse to accept what you dislike because you're lazy and don't want to do what you know you should (lift, diet, lifestyle). I was similar to you op. I was around 58kg until I decided to gym. I had to eat 4000cal a day to put on the weight. I'm 85kg now and coast on around 2500 and omad on the weekends.

You look like an ectomorph. Of course you can still build muscle and strength, but your frame will always be somewhat narrow compared to an endomorph.
On the plus side, if you stay lean and maintain a 6 pack girls will probably prefer you over a lot of meatheads.

You have to grit you teeth and deal with getting a little chubby. From my experience most of the noticeable fat gain occurs in the earlier part of the bulk and the rest is visually negligible. Gotta consider your lean mass will increase as well and start to use up more and more calories over time this slowing down fat accumulation.

Your TDEE is not significantly different from anyone else in the same position.

Genetic differences would come in hormone expression, how early puberty starts, etc. It doesn't however make massive discrepancies in metabolism that would let someone eat 3000 cal or more per day without consequence.
