you can know what something does for example when digested and give it a classification but you then need to study the effects over a long period of time to draw any meaningful conclusions

So the meta analysis was not well designed and didn't control for several factors, or look at DHT, the androgen you body primarily uses outside of muscle tissue, which it is known to lower, or people who metabolize diadzen into equol, a stronger phytoestrogen.

This is overall healthy, but it is anti-androgenic, and does have some pro-estrogenic effects.
