Why do people fail?

What’s the main reason people fail to achieve their goal body?

Laziness, no dedication and no willpower.

Lack of drive? Most people in the western world have had a lot of their life handed to them, they never learned how to yearn for an endgoal or result and thus don't know how to apply that to fitness.

Not focusing, lack of commitment

Being wage slave gears in the zog machine

This. You can't buy a healthy body or physique.

Extremely hard goals. The ideal way of progress is to set a doable goal in a short period of time and then set another goal. Don't set Arnold as your goal if you're skelly.

ANYTIME NOW PLEASE

shitty food is delicious, being lazy feels great, being sweaty and uncomfortable is gay

It’s so easy idk how people fail

Alcohol, the insidious gainz goblin

Forcing it become a habit is the harder part. Two or more weeks of no skips and you are cruising

Can we sticky this image so we never ever have a "why even lift if X?" thread again?

they don't want it bad enough

unrealistic expectations. Movies and the media, claim you can do shit in months when in reality your goal body is probably gunna take 2 years

One day you just don't feel like it, then it carries on for a week then two.

this.
set a short term goal and knock it out.
>good things come to those who wait and (lift weights)

cognitive dissonance

>dont diet because muh metabolism
>dont lift because muh dont want to get too big
>dont tan because muh skin cancer

I would have to give up what little of social life/hobbies I have to achieve an actually attractive body. I just exercise and watch my diet enough to avoid getting obese and so I won't die of a heart attack at 50

Tanning is completely unneded and stupid

They realize that the reason they want their goal body is to be happy, and then they realize that getting their goal body won't make them happy cause it's actually a means to an end that doesn't guarantee the end, just makes it easier. Being fit no doubt improves your quality of life, but it can't get you a girlfriend, a job, and most importantly it can't make you feel happy with your life. It can improve your chances of getting a girlfriend, and maybe it will make you feel more confident, but it doesn't guarantee either of those things.

Do you guys think Zac is natty? Not saying his body is not achievable natty, but maybe he used some PEDs or something to speed up his progress. He looks good and hes super lean.

Dude got ripped in a short period of time and was training with The Rock. I seriously doubt he's natty. And in general, it' best to just assume that all hollywood types are juicing. When you and your body are the product you're selling to make a living, it makes sense to do whatever it takes to get better results in shorter time.

Definitely achievable natty though.

A lot of common folk view fitness in a very shallow and supercial pov. Rather than lifting to improve themselves and lead a healthy life. People are instead fixated on the idea of looking more attractive, usually to feed their egos or 'get girls'. They set themselves with unrealistic short term goals and they will get impatient, frustrated, lazy and will view fitness as a chore rather than a lifestyle.

Projecting hard, but I've learnt from the past. Stay humble and you're on your way to making it.

They fags

for me it's not eating enough

Lack of enjoyment or interest
Most people who lift long term enjoy lifting in some way or another so it's easy to commit to. They convince themselves it's willpower and hard work, but if they hated it that wouldn't be the case.
