Breathed through the nose my whole life

Not enough, you also need to maintain a good bite.
Nosebreathing while keeping your tongue inbetween your back teeth because of an overbite is still not good posture.
Same. I don't understand how people can actually be mouth-breathers unironically. At the very least I would force myself to do it just because I'd look like an idiot constantly sucking air like that one creepy kid from Hey Arnold.
I was a mouth breather for the first 21 years in my life. It took me some time until I learned how to breath through my nose to actually get enough air.
I did not end up like op's pic though, my chin isn't receding, my nose is just asymmetric like the rest of my face, I don't know what tired eyes mean and my posture only became bad after I started sitting 10 hours in front of the monitor
>mfw slept with my mouth open since I was 11 and fucked my face up withought knowing
mouthbreathing because the nose doesn't give enough airway
Been mouthbreathing till age 16 when someone said that it deforms face. My face is not perfect, but no near like OP's picture. I guess I got lucky.
How can that be though? You have some sort of deformed nose?
Inferior genetics. Like the pug, an (albeit kind of cute) act against God itself, their sinuses have shrunk and been pushed forward through improper breeding, and they just can't get the air they need without breathing through their mouth.
I always had a thin nose, but it got wider as I stopped mouthbreathing
There is no such thing as your nose not providing enough air. Train cardio more, force yourself to breath through your nose. You'll start sucking in air harder to get adequate o2.
Mouth breathing is just easier.
I remember in the marines when me and my buddy went in a run competing who could run the longest without mouth breathing. We wiped a lot of snot on the sleeve before I won lol
when i was very young i developed a habit of mouth breathing, particularly when i was asleep, and my mum got right on it
she got this special medical tape and i'd have to tape my mouth shut every time i went to sleep until i stopped the habit
i used to think it was crazy and dumb but holy fuck am i glad she forced that on me
personally had severe allergies, so it was literally impossible for me to nose breathe. got that sorted out a few years ago though, and it did help a bit, but i can't but wonder what i would look like if i never had them
Youre so lucky, my parents didnt do anything about my mouth breathing. Even the fucking doctor didnt mind it.
mouthbreathing doesnt deform ur fucking face u retards lmao its all genetics forming your body,
breathing through the mouth is fine, it looks derpy and u can get less healthy teeth because of more erosion because of oxygen, its easier to breath through ur mouth and nose at the same time, if u dont u have sub 90 IQ because ur brain has too little oxygen
Let me tell you, the reason i was a mouth breather was because i had a deviated septum and swollen turbanets which means i couldn't breathe through my nose. Thats my reason
>tfw I was a shy kid who never opened his mouth
>tfw it saved me from mouthbreathing
>breathed through nose entire life
>still got all these features anyway
Fuck you and your broscience.
Iktf
>tfw spent age 10-19 playing violin for hours a day
>forced breathing through nose
>probably developed jaw because it was always clenched in concentration
>neckpilled from holding down the violin
I knew it would pay off someday
I only breath through my mouth when I catch a cold and I fucking hate it.
Literally why I have a good jaw
>tfw at some points I mouth breathed during development
>tfw almost turbo chad
>now I'm just kinda chad
Of course you are.
>breathing through your mouth magically shrinks your bones
Deviated septum and swollen turbinates only recently sort of fixed
>feels bad man
Yes there is my dude. Deviated septums and swollen turbinates are extremely common.
i wonder how you thought when you made this post
"hmm theres so much facts to prove me wrong... ahh ill just say its genetics as coping for the fact that i never mewed as a kid"
because its about more than just breathing through your nose
you also need correct oral posture
nice evidence u linked there lmao
I have a deviated septum, pretty bad in fact. I can only ever breath 100% through one nostril. Still I have no problem jogging a 6min mile while keeping my lips shut.
Stop making bullshit excuses for things. Mouth breathing is not required for cardio.
youtube.com
this is just one of his many videos
> breathed through mouth until learned of mewing on fit
can't help but thank this shitty hittite totem exchanging board
I've got somewhat of an underbite, will mouth breathing cause my jaw to go in a little and fix it?
U realise that it is literally impossible to prove this theory as you would need the same person to live twitce, one lifteime mouthbreathing and one not, until actual identical cloning is real this wont happen, peenoy doctors lmao
u would litearlly have to permamew for like thousands of years to even see a micrometer of difference in your bones
This
I have a deviated septum so I only breathe out of one nostril, but I've still only been a nose breather my whole life.
god this whole fad is such bullshit
literally the old formula of create a problem and sell a solution (for which there is no visual evidence because it takes so long and because it's a huge commitment - how convenient)
hurr what are twin studies
>ironically breathing through the mouth
At full aerobic capacity my nose alone simply doesn't do it.
For normal to moderate levels of activity its is fine.
Who’s getting the money then tard
>play saxophone, guitar, piano, harmonica
>try to learn violin but no matter what can’t hold it
i eventually gave up and just held it at my chest like a old fiddler
How common is having a devisted septum? I’ve been more than a few fights but never noticed and issue with my nose
>Breathed through mose my whole life
>Have an overbite so it didnt matter
Mine isnt so bad, but i definitely dont have a chad jaw or chin
>never mouthbreathed
>flawless jawline
>big nose almost out of place
I had hella allergies until I was 6, so I had to breath through my mouth sleeping because the blood would come to my head and completely plug my nose
>6 years ago
>16 yo
>deviated septum for whole life, breathed mostly through nose
>unconscious low-key mouth-breathing that I don't realise
>get stuffy nose
>mom gives me nose spray
>works fine, but I get even stuffier nose after it wears off
>abuse it for about a week
>read on the label that it causes dependence
>read on the internet that it can ruin your nose permanently
>stop using it
>can't breath at night
>literally 100% blocked, can't breath through my nose not even a little
>feel suffocated everytime I go to bed, pain, feel like I'm drowning
>mom shrugs it off, "just breath through your mouth, everyone does it, who cares"
>start doing it cause what can I do
>constant sinus pain, stuffed nose, bad sleep that come and go since then
>mouth-breathing is now a part of me, I can pull off not doing it while resting and not in bed, but 6+ hours a day of sleep are out of my control
W-wat do, lads
post twin studies then
see a doctor you idiot. Ear Nose and Throat specialist.
Mine un-fucked my septum for me. I still have some weird tissue growth blocking one entire nostril but they're getting that out soon. Expensive, but worth it to breathe clear for the REST OF MY LIFE. Can't wait.
Don't suffer user. Seek help, your fellow abomination against God recommends you do so.
how is it possible to keep the mouth shut while sleeping tho??
This
Allergies or just general snuffy nose throughout your childhood/teen years.
Can't breath through your nose if your nose is always blocked.
How the FUCK do I keep my mouth closed while sleeping? I only breath through my nose during the day and while going to sleep, but I always wake up with an open and dry mouth.
>MFW twin brother and I slept in same room as kids
>Always wake each other up from audible jaw clenches
>People at work tell me I always clench my jaw
>Always been a nose breather
>See mewing post on basket weaving forum
>Learn that I have been mewing my whole life
>Get complemented for nice chin and jaw
Feels good man
you don't get a deviated septum from fighting bro that's just a broken nose - a deviated septum is when the actual tissue for one reason or another grows too much to one side
t. man who is getting a nosejob because he can't sleep at night
No its gonna make it worse. Mouth breathing causes the maxilla (the upper jaw) to recess. The mandible (lower jaw) usually follows, but in some people, especially Asians, the mandible grows forward and over the maxilla. Leading to an underbite.
Deviated septum. My nose is comically crooked.
>inadequate nutrition in childhood --> develop frail immune system/underdeveloped nasal structure --> more prone to allergies and mouth breathing.
I was a mouth breather as a kid and had horrible allergies. I wonder how much of these things are diet related.
this
>ironically breathing through the mouth
This. I ironically breathe through the mouth all the time. When someone with a recessed chin sits near me at the library, I start inhaling really loudly, when they ask me what's wrong I ask them if they have any advice on how to recess my chin further.
Mouth breathing is caused by the tongue putting too much pressure on the roof of the mouth and compressing the nasal pathways. The mewing thing is an absolute meme and does nothing but hurt you.
having the tongue on the roof of your mouth literally forces you to breathe through your nose
>never mouth breathed
>perfect bite and never had braces
>still a chinlet
Thanks apparent nigger genes
>mouthbreathed half my life
>still have good jawline
Maybe It's because I'm 6'5 not sure
