At how many kilos/lbs down should someone expect to have permanently loose skin? I'm looking at losing 66lb or 30 kg how likely is it that I will end up with permanent loose skin
At how many kilos/lbs down should someone expect to have permanently loose skin...
You wont have loose skin, that is more something that affects people who lose hundreds of pounds.
Don't push your luck though.
Nah I'm not. I've started to learn to cook and some basic nutrition
I've lost 20kg and I don't have any.
I’m doing residency right now to be a plastic surgeon. The generally agreed upon consensus is 40lbs and 60lbs for women and men respectively yields some loose skin that will eventually, given an age below around 35, become taut once again. You’ll almost certainly not need surgical intervention with this amount of weight Lose but may opt for it if you want it. After the 40/60 mark it becomes more and more likely that you’ll have life altering loose skin that will probably require surgical intervention. These figures are for men and women of average height for the United States, so it may be more or less depending on height, age, genetics, etc. Once you lose around 50% of the weight you need to lose it becomes pretty obvious if you’ll have loose skin or not. Generally speaking, practices that create some form of autophagy, I.e. fasting may increase tautness of skin, but it’s my and the folks I work with, personal opinion that the results of this are minimal at best. Stay hydrated and hope that you have good genes man.
From an anecdotal perspective, I have lost 70ish lbs and 6’2” and have some loose skin that isn’t noticeable unless I’m in a position that exacerbates it. Considering my age I will most likely not have loose skin in a year or two.
Ur fucking welcome fag
some questions
1. how long does loose skin take to firm up within that safe 60lbs male range? if it's possible to put a range of times on this
2. to what extent does genetics affect this? is there am approximate proportion of people who's skin is especially susceptible (or not) to remaining loose?
3. why do you want to become a plastic surgeon? not trying to probe, just wondering
>I'm doing residency right now to be a plastic sugeon
Ok, I have another question (not OP)
Say I was 240 pounds with muscle/fat and I've been losing the fat. What are the odds I have loose skin? I'm going to keep losing and getting fit regardless, but I'm curious.
I'm 19 and in America. I can afford the surgery if needed, so I'm not stressed
To give reference on fat/muscle I was 240 but large shirts were loose, medium shirts skin tight.
Chubby for sure, didn't really have rolls
informative post, thank you user
fucking kek
I absolutely love people who have lost a ton of weight. One of my pals' cousins wore clothing four sizes two big for him, clothing that was absolutely massive. I finally asked him about it and he lost like 200 lbs like OP pic
if women have fat more evenly distributed throughout their body, why do they get loose skin with fewer lbs of weight loss than men?
if men concentrate their fat around their stomach, 40 lbs would stretch the skin around the man's stomach more than 40 lbs evenly distributed throughout a woman's body.
i'd love to have flappy loose skin, i'd use it to glide like a flying squirrel and fight crime
thanks doc
>i'd love to have flappy loose skin, i'd use it to glide like a flying squirrel and fight crime
good info, thanks
I went from 290 down to 180 (6’3), I’m permanently fucked with stretch marks but my skin isn’t really loose. I look fine with clothes on, but just remember user loose skin is better than looking like a fat fuck
I have the stretch marks too, but they aren't even visible unless someone stretches my skin and was an inch away.
I drink over a gallon of water a day and use 'ultra fucked up skin tier' lotion
Reminder that former hamplanets who look like this still have a lot of fat. It's possible for them to get very lean at which point the skin will hang almost flat
thanks doctor dubs
anyone else got stretchmarks from puberty?
I was a dwarf until age 15 when i suddenly started growing, now my lower back looks like freddy kreuger
Thanks, Doc.
I have stretch marks on my arms, love handle area. I don't give a fuck about them because I lost the weight that contributed to them and I couldn't control how quick puberty fucked me
routine
>lotion+water+coconut oil+vitamin E oil+sun
can barely even see them with getting super close
Hey doc does the rate of fatloss contribute to an increase of loose skin?
thanks doktor
More
I got really slight stretch marks where my pecs meet my delts. Happened being a HS curlbro.
Natty stretch marks are an excellent sign that you've /madeit/
>this kind of weight loss happens all the time
>Boogie the fat fuck is still morbidly obese
Yes, very bad around my shoulders/armpits and moderately on my biceps because i suddenly grew ape man fucklong arms
Takk, doktor
Similar situation with lower back stretch marks caused by puberty. But lifting has given me stretch marks on my quads, pecs and armpits
I've never had a hookup where someone even noticed my stretch marks or said anything about them
they get faint over time with lotion/hydration
As long as you're fit, that's what matters. Especially if you're a muscular guy, nobody will give a fuck if you have some skin marks
to be fair though, he did lose like 200 pounds after his surgery.
hes still fat but at least hes doing something about it.
losing 200 pounds with a gastric sleeve is not an accomplishment.
your body physically will not let you eat the food to maintain weight, you will throw up.
I have no opinion on boogie but i have watched a lot of my 600lb life (lol)
Based doc, pls become a tripfag and post regularly

lost 60 kilos
have just a little but have some, it depends on your genetics
6'5 user here, I lost 150 lbs and have 50 to go. Barely any loose skin inside upper arm and on waist just below belt, none elsewhere. I'm blessed desu
He was going off average US heights, I'm guessing average US height for a girl is 5'7" while average male height is 5'10", so 40lbs is more of their bw%.
>t. educated guesser
i've lost about 100 pounds in the past year-ish,
what i originally thought was loose skin was just a layer subcutaneous of fat giving the skin no reason to shrink, once that was gone it tightened up pretty nicely, i feel like that's the case for alot of people..thought i had lost it all but the last bit tends to hang on for dear life it seems.
Average is 5'4 for women and 5'9 for men
Alright time to answer questions
1. You misunderstood. Below 60lbs shouldn’t result in any significant loose skin, certainly not enough to warrant surgery. If you DO have loose skin from a
Actually now that I think about it that is fucking bonkers. Would you mind posting your body?
Forgot you. What a good fucking question. It’s height, like the user who replied to you said, but most of our patients do tend to be women. I might ask. My personal guess is that a man is able to replace the fat tissue, so to speak, with muscle tissue at a better rate than women are. A good example of this is in the pectoralil major region. Many women will have excess skin around the bottom of their breast, generally where their adipose tissue ends, but men will not. My opinion is that they can sort of fill the gap.
Alright guys I’m done with this. Good luck on your weight lose everybody. Even if you have loose skin it’s much better than being fat.
t. That 24 year boomer who has seen more and more fat people want cosmetic surgeries done as opposed to putting down a fork
Current
Me about 320lbs. I was 380 the day I bought a scale and decided to flip my life around.
I've lost 260lb. Huge gut overhang, still got back tits, chest has gotten much smaller but my nipples sag about 3-4 inches lower than they should. Thigh fat is wrinkly, like my upper arms. Face is still chubby, but I've got at least 30lb left till 20%...
It's better than being a fatass but it sucks looking shitty in shirts. Regular t's look bad, so do polo's and anything that's not navy/black. Button downs are all I have left. Got to tuck in my fupa.
Impressive desu
Should we take into account the time during which it's lost?
I've lost 35 lbs since last june, aiming for another 20 till the end of 2018, langsam aber sicher.
And probably fat distribution matters too, there's no way my shrinking manboobs would go away with no consequences.
Its better if hes anonymous
Did you ever considered taping to look better in clothes?
I have stretch marks on my ass. It happened after I gained 10-15kg during my noob gains at 18. Fat accumulates like crazy down there
I've lost 60lbs and have over 100lbs more to go. Already getting loose skin. I'm doing a fasting focus3d lifestyle, staying hydrated at and taking collagen peptide supplement. My face is deceiving though, never really was a much a chubbo face despite being such a landwhale. Plus decent genetics there with clear complexion and firm elasticity with my face. Hoping for the best, but hey I wrecked my body by being a fat fuck so I'll have the excess skin as w reminder. Though I hope to get the surgery on my upper half when I get to goal weight. I sure hope my busy can get chopped down and stitched up as small and as perky as possible. Small tits are dream, fuck needing boulder holders ever again.
You are going to FUCKING do it user, you made steps many would never even take. Do you plan on lifting weight? It might reduce the loose skin.
You guys are heroes. I now realise my 30lbs lost are pathetic compared to you.
Is it true that losing weight too fast makes it more likely to have loose skin afterwards?
I'm a newb to lifting, my gym is small but full of shredded dudes that make me nervous. The first time I tried the free weight area, some dude said I looked lost and smirked. I just grabbed 4kg kettle bell to try a kettle bell routine I saw online. I usually stick to the cable machines that tend to always be free.
I'm so heavy that just bodyweight movements are enough to get me sore at though. My gym is such a boys club, I'm growing in coincidence daily but still struggle with anxiety bs. I mire powerlifting chicks.
Perfect
Confidence*
Fucking sausage fingers.
But yeah, I know lifting helps with the loose skin. I'm getting into more.
THANK YOU PLASTIC DOC
Don't bother with machines, you're wasting your time with those. You should look for routines that focus on the compound excercises.
Don't care what others think of you in the gym, you don't need to let other control your future.
Just dry fast and it'll go away user
Is it possible to become a skin donor when you're like this?
yes it's true user. Don't lose more than about 2lb per week.
Truly, we are much more pathetic than you. We let ourselves get to the point of having to lose hundreds to look normal again. It's unfortunate I view my years of hard work this way but it's the truth.
Are you me?
I have stretchmarks on my ass
Even if i get a nice ass by going to the gym ill still be insecure about them.
Do stretchmarks become less visible when you start getting fit?
I'm down about 100 lbs in a year and have no sagging skin, about to reach my goal. But I did fasting, broth fasting mostly and in the early stages when the weight was pouring off especially. Not eating for a day per week gives everything a chance to heal and catch up. I did dry fasting a few times when I started to notice some sagging around my gut, and it fucked me up because I didn't give it enough time to recover. So just use good nutrition and recovery habits is the best advice you'll get user. Lots of naturally occuring vitamin C and collagen from food sources especially.
