Dips, why aren’t you doing them?

Same or better chest activation, safer on your shoulders, no spotter needed, and the dip station is nearly always free. Are you addicted to ego lifting on the bench or what, user?

Body weight plus what it takes you to get to 250, I’d say, since decline angle is a bit easier

It’s been shown to have pretty full chest activation IIRC. Or hit the incline afterwards.

Don’t worry about keeping your elbows pointed laser straight back. You’ll develop a more flared form in time when doing for chest.

Do you have a dip belt? Because if you do, they're easier than a barbell. You can load in smaller increments. Admittedly, swinging 90lbs between your legs is a tad difficult, but you'll manage. It's not a reason not to do tham

Something always feels fucked after dips. My shoulders or my wrists. Every person I’ve asked to check form says they’re perfect but I still get fucked wrists, or shoulders so I don’t do them!

they're all those shitty little handles that wobble a ton, i feel like i'm going to badly injure myself even with just bw

the bars are too far apart and they mess up my shoulder joints. I should find a better tower because I used to really like them.

idk about this, BW 160 and I was dipping 125 for 3 but could only bench 200.

Captains chair is usually far superior to the dip machine unless you’re really broad shouldered

I usually consider the 2pl8 meme to mean doable for 5 reps or more, so. YMMV.
