don't be singling out specific exerciss for scrutiny above others. if people do wrist curls at all, they usually use this effective exercise in ineffective ways such as focusing on the "squeeze", doing sets of

forgot to add, same goes for calf raises. people say wah wah wah my calves are small due to genetics, and while that is in many cases true, in even more cases guys train their calves with like 6 piddly sets a week with weight that are not challenging enough, with bad ROM, low frequency and volume etc, if they bother to train calves at all. most give u after a while. well would you give u on training your chest if that was slow to grow? hell no, you'd probably focus on it more.

forearms and calves are two of these "afterthought" muscles that no one bothers to train properly or consistently, and that is why people shit on things like wrist curls and calf raises - they do everything wrong with good exercises and blame the exercises. retarded. you have to go back.

those will get you big forearms if you are predisposed to having big forearms. maybe it worked for you and your mates or whatever but if that is the case then you don't represent a general population. you didn't even specify any volumes, the #1 key in improving hypertrophy. if you tried wrist curls and they didn;t do anything, then you tried farmer's walks and RPs and they did something, then take an honest look at how you programmed the two of those before drawing any conclusions. i could say BB bench doesn't work and DB bench does, but if I did 3x3 BB bench once a week vs 5x10 DB bench twice a week then it's obvious what really happened.
