Just go to bootcamp you can pay a relatively small fee and go
Samuel Cruz
> Paying for bootcamp.
What.
Lucas Brooks
>what's the best course around for training yourself like you're on the military? >Not just body building, but reflexes, agility, mobility, cognitively (scan threats and awareness)?
Join the National Guard, retard. Go to basic training yet still get to be a civilian.
Jack Thompson
This. Or go be a freedom fighter rebel in some shithole country. If you dont die, you'll probably see more combat and learn more than 90% of the military.
Kevin Turner
Best course for training like you're in the military eh? If you want to replicate basic then buy a rifle and learn to field strip it, then pick up some parade boots and some polish. Your next step is for the next 4 months to only sleep 5 hours a night and any spare time you have is to be spent sewing your name into everything you own oiling your rifle and polishing your boots until you can see individual teeth when you smile. You are to eat all your meals as fast as possible and to spend all your time until just before you can feasibly make it wherever you need to go next standing stock still at attention. If you aren't replicating basic, just go for a run every now and then and do some push ups or some shit. The military doesn't really do much to keep you in shape my boy.
Carson Price
Go fight for the YPG in Kurdistan, actually get to kill some ISIS fucks and do some good in the process
Nathan Foster
>see more combat yes >learn more no
Arab's see a ton of combat but they are still dogshit soldiers who don't know shit for tactics and training. Any inexperienced rookie infantrymen from any 1st world army is always 5x the soldier a veteran sandnigger is
Josiah Lee
>go fight alongside coward communists who will run at the first sign of danger and get you killed no thanks
Evan Collins
They aren't really doing that anymore. Joining the YPG is supposed to be a lot harder now and their western volunteers are basically media figureheads to attract western attention to their cause.
Gabriel Davis
>always
tell that to the veteran sandnigger ISIS killing murdermachine that rode a motorcycle and preferred his .50 caliber sniper rifle and killed a billion dunehuggers
Andrew Hughes
Mmm... yeah nah. Maybe your average raghead but theres some fuckers out there who are seriously scary smart. Our main advantage is alot more firepower.
Austin Cox
>always Yeah, poor choice of words, but you're arguing for the exception, not the rule.
There are always outliers.
Dominic Jackson
This is kind of the problem with our propaganda system.
For all it's cost and whatnot, military training isn't great. Unless you're part of the more elite side of things, the training doesn't really make you better at anything than any civilian enthusiast shooter-athlete. The only real different is small unit movement, some basic battle drills, and how to run commo.
Reflexes, agility, mobility, etc? No tangible difference from anything a civilian can do. Scanning threats? Put your fucking phone down. Bam, no difference.
Isaac Perry
to nitpick your post even further, it doesn't matter that any infantry from a first world country is 10x the soldier of some dipshit arab conscript if the dipshit arab conscript is the only one actually fighting. Why even compare first world countries that don't do anything with people that actually do something?
Nolan Williams
yeah, mostly true >Reflexes, agility, mobility, etc? No tangible difference from anything a civilian can do. >the training doesn't really make you better at anything than any civilian enthusiast shooter-athlete. As far as marksmanship and shit, yes.
>The only real different is small unit movement, some basic battle drills And this is what separates the boys from the men. In my experience, movement and communication, small unit tactics are far more important than just being a good shot. I'd take guys that work smoothly as a team and understand battle drills and movement over a group of champion three-gun shooters any day. Accurate fire is only one of the three tenets of infantry combat, the other two being, of course, movement and communication.
Connor Gonzalez
Because OP asked for soldier skills and training, not getting shot at and praying you don't get killed with some goat fuckers
Isaac Morales
>As far as marksmanship and shit, yes. Disagree. Granted I've been doing mostly POG shit, but there are plenty of civilian classes that provide far superior marksmanship training than some normal Army range BS. As for room clearing and even long-distance shooting...you can find basic doctrine online and practice is yourself. You're not really missing anything that applies to civilian life.
>couple lines about movement Yupp, and any civilian job that has any of that will also provide the training.
OP's kinda missed his mark with this one because of the propaganda machine spouting Muh Military, Muh Ultimate Human Being such and such.
Daniel Cruz
Go into wilderness with nothing but basic tools, supplies except food, and a bow with some arrows. Stay for a month.
Hudson Thompson
>training can make up for actual experience. im gonna go ahead and just say no.
Robert Flores
Fuck the advice in this thread will for sure get you killed
Elijah Perry
Yeah I unironically lost it to some answers.
I'll just look for some tips on the archive or google, thanks dudes.
Jaxson Martinez
>Not just body building For an ideal infantry body you want to ruck until you want to kill yourself twice at the same time. Do it every few days. Then run like 15 miles a week, fast, and no more than 5 miles at a time. That's it. Everything else they do is superfluous and so god damn retarded. You're gonna want to lift too. For realism you can hire someone to do everything they can to fuck up your schedule. Ideally they should believe that pushups and air squats are better for you. >but reflexes, agility, mobility, cognitively (scan threats and awareness) Theres a certain existential anger and alertness that infantry soldiers carry, which you can not self induce, but they aren't ninjas or anything like that.
Zachary Barnes
>Disagree Actually we agree, retard. He said army training doesn't make you better than a civilian shooter, and I said "as far as marksmanship, I agree." Meaning yes, you're right. Army shooting and civilian shooting are comparable. Shooting is shooting.
There are room clearing and marksmanship schools that are way better than anything you will find civilian side, but as a regular infantryman you will never have any chance of going to them.
Jayden Miller
>46999593 >46999758 >both posts are me
Read it as you were saying military marksmanship was better than civilian, which we both apparently know is bullshit
I'd argue that your SWAT/HRT-type teams, especially at the federal level, do room clearing and marksmanship on par with the best of the military--they are often trained by the same dudes--but yeah, your average joe schmoe isn't getting that shit, either.
Joseph Wood
Hahaha you dumb fuck. You think the military is a fucking jedi academy? They don't give you those things, they just kick you out if you don't have them, and if they don't notice, you die.
Dylan Young
Work on cardio as well as body building, practice rucking on some local trails and spend some nights camping. Own a rifle and practice shooting it. Pick up a playing airsoft or a sport.
