Pullups require lat training, the best way to get to doing them is by doing easier variations of pullups.

Curls give me wrist problems. They didn't for years, I curled heavy as hell, 155x10 and up, then one day my wrist started having pain so I just do pulling movements for biceps now.

Do some jumping a bit cheat pullups. Finish until failure with really slow negatives. Keep this up until you can do your standard sets and reps worth of pullups. Then add weight.

I find curls boring so that's out. It's actually chinups and not pullups that use the biceps muscle more, but I don't do chinups because having an underhand grip just seems unnatural to me. And hell, if I'm pulling myself up from a cliff or whatever, is my movement pattern mimicking a pullup a chinup? It's going to be like a pullup.
Yeah, I probably have underdeveloped biceps compared to everything else, but I just don't give a fuck.
