It's just a little blood glucose/ketone tester, but at least for me it's very informative to know how my body reacts to fasting, lifting, certain foods, etc.
It doesn't seem I ever fell out of ketosis after breaking my fast, although I ate mostly fat/protein but had a good deal of fresh brocolli, 2 bell peppers and like 80 g of mushrooms. Also interesting is my ketones went down and blood sugar went up after lifting to a greater degree than they did after that small (~1470 Calories - and I measure all my food) meal I had last night to break my 4 day fast.
Will keep updating with measurements and you can just ignore if not useful or interesting.

I use the keto mojo for measuring blood sugar and ketone levels (bought because my buddy bought into the keto craze and was having some success but I wanted to show him that fasting or even OMAD keto would be even more beneficial and I'm a physicist so the best comparison would be to use the exact same model measurement device).
I also bought some keto stix to compare with the blood keton readings. I bought the below brand because the other brand I was going to buy was on back order and these would arrive the same day as the blood tester
You really don't need any blood testing gear to know if you're in ketosis, the strips are plenty good for that, but the blood tester is more precise (maybe a bit more accurate but most people confuse precision and accuracy) but strips are perfect for comfirming you're in ketosis. Blood tester is more precise so you can watch how you respond to certain things like exercise, sleep, certain food etc. and see smaller changes whereas my piss strips are staying dark color most of the time, this morning they were a bit lighter but they're dark again after lifting whereas my blood meter showed the lowest point i've tested so far (but still firmly in ketosis at 2.7 mmol/L

Forgot another measurement: body weight.
My gym has one of those doctor's office type sliding scales, I put a 45 lb plate on it and it read 45 so it seems accurate enough. At my heaviest I was 206 lb. Started eating OMAD weekdays with shitting eating habits on weekends. Dropped to 194. Started eating strictly OMAD including weekends, then incorporated keto diet with OMAD. Down to 189. Then started going to the gym, and just now finished my first water fast of 99 hours.
I am most definitely leaner by a great margin, but no real change to my weight. Looks like I lost about 3 lb from my 4 day fast but I look and feel much leaner. Pic related taken today after weighing myself and before lifting.

I know I'm rambling a bit, but I just wanted you to get a good idea of my background, struggles with eating (sometimes stress eating pizza 2-3 times a week, and eating 5 big sushi rolls for dinner as often as once a week and not more often only because of the price). Fasting has definitely improved my discipline (when I started my recent 4 day fast I started nofap at the same time and I'm 5 days nofap so far). Stay strong and get that fat in ya!

Pretty significant drop in blood sugar after an hour post lifting compared to directly after.
Not testing ketones because I have a lot more glucose strips and the ketone strips are fucking expensive.

Plus keto sticks have a delay in that your body has processed those extra ketones from earlier and pissed them out. Meter reads what in your blood right now. Just tested with the piss strips and they were colored but lighter than when I immediately got home after lifting. so they correspond to the blood msmts I took earlier, just with a delay. I think it's always good to have two measurement devices to compare results. Keto stix are great and cheap.

Everybody's different, so hard to say. I write out goals once a day or every few days, which seems to help. Example:
>I weigh ### lbs by Wednesday, August 1st, 2018.
Then you write a sub-goal below that, such as:

Goals should be challenging, but possible. Not like 'I lose 100 lbs in 10 days', which will kill motivation. Goals should have a deadline, and be clearly stated and specific, so a child could understand it clearly. Not 'I am thin by X date,' because what is the definition of "thin".

That's normal. During a fast, you might think about eating every morning or multiple times throughout the day. Writing goals help you stay on track, but even then you can break them. Don't know what else to say, it just takes will power sometimes.

seems crazy that I had all that sushi and haven't been kicked out out of ketosis, and that my ketone levels are even higher than after I lifted while fasting. Not insane amounts of rice but certainly more carbs than I've eaten in weeks and my ketone levels are up and blood sugar is low as well.
Maybe a good indicator of how well fasting can correct and control insulin resistance.

All 3 rolls were 8 piece rolls, one of which is this place's specialty and ~50% larger than typical rolls. Also forgot to include half of a california roll they through in for free. I should have taken a photo but didn't want to fuck up anyones mental game while fasting. It was really filling and more food than you're probably imagining. You first measure 68 mg/dL and then 92 mg/dL, taking into account measurement error, those values you've make it impossible to determine anything. But then again, I'm not a doctor, maybe 15 mg/dL isn't relevant?

That's the ISO standard, not necessarily the device's measurement uncertainty.
I took two back to back ketone measurements last night and got 6.1 mmol/L and then 6.0 mmol/L respectively. Took another measurement about 10 minutes later and got 6.0 mmol/L. Sounds like they got a defective unit or don't know how to prepare their sample in terms of hand washing, not letting the blood run on their finger, etc. Obviously no measurement device is perfect and all have some systematic and random error.

I really only got it to do lots of these inital measurements of transitionary periods like before and after lifting, before and after eating following exercise, before and after breaking a fast, etc. I won't be using it much long term to monitor ketone levels because I can just use the piss stix to confirm im still in ketosis. I just wanted a more reliable way to establish how my body handles those major events that trigger greatest insulin responses and how I react.
