There is a difference between being shunned because you are unpleasant to be around, and shunning other people because they are unpleasant to be around. When I found out friends went to do fun things but I never got invited to them. It's a shitty thing to do for sure so I cut my losses and stopped bothering to hang out with them. They half heartedly invited me to eat out once but I declined and they never made an effort after.
