Why do normies like the office so much? I've watched the entire show and thought it was just ok yet have seen constant references to it both on and offline. Is there something i'm not getting?

all i took away from the office is i hate jim. at first i thought he was supposed to represent how bullies just get away with it but nope everyone loves this guy.
Jim was the coolest character of the show. Close second behind Dwight.
I don't know OP. For me it is one of the best comfiest shows that make me FEEL. They show an ideal world where even robots belong, the world that doesn't exist. It's a show for robots. I wanna watch it for the third time now since you reminded me of it.
based
All i want is a Pam in my life
It's an awful show. Not funny at all. I don't know how anybody watches this garbage.
michael master race
I liked the first few seasons. Got really shitty after Michael left and they decided to make Pam and the black guy from the warehouse sellers too.
go be edgy somewhere else.
the show is comfy af to watch
He was probably my 5th favorite. Though i have to admit that he was essential to the show. It has the foundation of Dunder Mifflin
Michael is pretty much a robot who has adapted to normalfag society.
How is that edgy? It's just fucking bad. Humor for idiots.
This and parks and rec make me dream of a comfy office job where everyone is friends, but that's not how life works.
michael is every beta orbiter
Why would you watch so many seasons of a show you only thought was okay?
>unironically calls a brilliant satire of the american workplace humor for idiots
do you watch rick and morty?
'The Office' and 'How not to live your life' literally made me find a job and unNEET myself for a while.
Zoomer get out.
>based
The Office is the only piece of normie material that I actually identify with.
I've never watched Rick and Morty.
> Brilliant satire
You're kidding right? Satire sure, brilliant hardly.
Because it's really good. Consitantly funny, good at serious moments, and you actually care about the characters when it becomes serious. Also it has alot of rewatch value.
Yes, brilliant. The amount detail behind the jokes and the set is unreal. The jokes are so good that some of them have layers that you can you only spot on a second watch.
There's a reason the show was so popular.
He was kino, right?
Well either I'm fucking retarded or everyone else in the world is cause I've watched it a few times and I always thought it sucked.
Obviously only one of those things can be true, and obviously it's the latter.
>well either I'm fucking retarded or everyone else is
Being this narcissistic. Grow up user
Creed was an overrated character.
This thread is fueled by bait
>Grow up user
No
>Anything that disagrees with me is edgy the post.
ok. suit yourself dude
Your opinion is based on ignorance, and you come off as either autistic, a zoomer, or both.
> The jokes are so good that some of them have layers that you can you only spot on a second watch.
Is this bait? Serious question.
best part of the show for me, too.
Not bait. Its actually funnier on second viewing. I know i sounded condescending.
Occam's Razor is a truly wonderful thing
When it came out, it was kind of a groundbreaking show in some ways. I
feel like a lot of shows since then have copied it to a certain extent.
It's like the normie version of the whole internet. In so far as their source of reply .jpgs
>Underrated.
Also, I wanna be named spaghetti.
It's a spinrip of a brit show. Jesus.
Its about normalfags bullying an aspie. Its very relatable.
It always struck me as Jim Carrey tier humor.
>people like Jim & pam
>hate them immensely
>liked dwight before he started dating a girl
>now nobody is really relatable
I'm on season 4 but I don't know It seems mediocre yet I've come this far and intend to finish it regardless.
never like jim carrey. too childish for me
Stop watching when Michael leaves
Dwight better take over for Michael. Got disappointed when michael didn't leave that first time.
He does in the end
ive watched it a few times. pam is an annoying cunt. kevin is me irl and cracks me up. you'd be better off watching the best moments of dwight, jim, micheal, kevin and stanely on youtube.
youtube.com
probably the best clip from the whole show.
half the people who work in that office are not married
Good Guys:
Michael
Dwight
Pam
Bad Guys:
Jim
Ryan
>liking pam
she's a cunt i would punch if i had to listen to her everyday
Jim and Pam are the perfect representation of everything wrong with normalfucks and roasties, of course everyone adores them
Kek, The Offices humor is 10% witty banter, 80% stupid shit that Michael says, and 10% slapstick. I like the show and think its funnt but it aint deep
I just finished The Office today funnily enough.
I didn't get it at first, but it grew on me after a while. I've never worked a white-collar job before but it's a very comfy show. The characters grow on you after a while. It's not the most original show ever but it's very enjoyable for what it is.
I'd argue Dwight is a very positive example of a robot-type character on mainstream TV. He's "weird" yes, but he's successful at his job and runs his own farm, plus becomes the manager at the end.
Dwight and Michael are basically robots/cyborgs. Thus why they are so popular with male fans but hated by female ones.
Do you have anymore esoteric memes?
True this, especially since the creator topped himself with parks and rec, then somehow topped himself again when The Good Place.
Plenty of women like Michael in my experience.
Ryan was an asshole, I was glad when he got fired from corporate.
the character michael scott is a stereotypical beta provider male just exaggerated. steve carell is not a terrible looking dude and is extremely successful.
I never got this meme about Michael being a loser. He owned a condo, managed the highest performing branch of Dunder Mifflin, threw parties for his staff every other week, dated Carol, Jan and Donna before marrying Holly and starting a family. He had it pretty good in that respect.
Michael is based.
The british office is more based though.
>tfw no comfy sales job
Pam pretty much left her working class fiance for a chad. Fuck that slut.
>sales
>comfy
this is a lot more what it's like to work as a salesman.

Trailer Park Boys > The Office
Ricky and the boys are the kind of bros you would follow to hell and back
God tier:
Michael, Dwight, Kevin, Creed
Good tier:
Stanley, Pam, Jim, Erin
Okay tier:
Andy, Erin, Phyllis, Meredith
Shit tier:
Kelly, Gabe, Angela, Oscar
Unholy tier:
Robert California, Nellie
Robert California was the quintessential fallen Chad.
He didn't fit on the show at all, no wonder he left after one season. They should've just kept Jo on as CEO, it just felt like they shoehorned him into every episode.
This guy and the hobbit are the absolute best characters from the office
what movie is this, user? seems interesting.
based. First 7 seasons are 10/10. 11 and 12 are okay too.
glengarry glen ross and it's mostly just that scene.
thanks. more of that scene would be great.
I think Michael should be in good tier. Otherwise pretty accurate.
I wish I had a girlfriend like Pam.
