OP's back is 6.5/10. Compared to the black guy, OP's back has less mass on the upper area.
And by thicker, I mean more mass for the upper back, traps and rhomboids.
And IMO, for a good-looking back, the upper back is more important than the lats. Too much lats make you look bulky. The perfect back should looks like Lu Xiaojun's. You can check around 0:40 in the related video.

I definitely think I'm making more noticable progress (at least in the progressions) with my chest than my back. I dunno. I'm doing a few pullups then negatives trying to work up to 3x8 with good form but a ways off yet. Any overall tips for back?

Thanks mate 220kg is pretty insane for my gyms standards. Also when I first started working out I couldn't deadlift if my life depended on it so I'm surprised I got this far
