not your internal obliques, which is the adonis belt, no i mean your EXTERNAL OBLIQUES
external obliques run all the way up your ribcage
you obviously cant make your hips more narrow but you can give the effect of having narrower hips by doing this

Agree with obliques. Also add in reducing body fat. A lot of people have only mildly-wide hips combined with love handles which exaggerates the hips.

I have never worked them directly once in my life, barely do and for that matter. I've been 10% bodyfat with small love handles in the past

Wouldn't oblique work just make your hip bones look even bigger? They would beef out the waist a hit im sure, but also add width to your hipbones. You would just become a wider version of whatever you already look like.
For instance pic related wouldnt really have less of an hourglass figure if he worked obliques a shitload. It would just get bigger everywhere
