Are these worth it?
Are these worth it?
For...?
lifting?
What do they do? Like whats the point in these they look hell complicated
Shit looks like the loot you get from killing the optional boss of the gym
These are much better.
You can get a kit for them to get up to 120lbs per DB.
For a home gym, 10/10 would recommend.
Just looked and you can now get a kit to take them to 165lbs. That should be enough for most mortals.
>gimmicky dumbells 10 times the price of any other set of adjustable dumbells
You're a dumbell if you waste your money on those
you turn a knob and the weight on the dumbell lowers by 1lb each time
If you're just starting out and you have little or no dumbells at all, they're worth it. Just don't buy the the ones that top out at 50 pounds. For a man, it only takes a few months of training to lift beyond 50 pounds.
so thats why there are 2,5lb or 5 lb increments on those
wow, who would have thought?
Picked up a pair of the 50 lb weights and and folding bench on primeday, they are pretty nice but normal dumbbells are better in every way except for space.
Cons:
Bulkier than weights of the same size, makes certain close in exercises awkward.
They have moving parts so you cant slam them, drop them, use them for push-up rows, etc.
The weights shift on the bar slightly during use, doesn't affect anything tangible, but annoying anyway.
Pros:
Look cool, takes up little space, the dial makes a satisfying clank when you turn them.
Pic related.
Cons : the price
?
I don't like how cheap the plastic looks.
I would only get these if you can't go to a gym and you live in a tiny apartment.
That too, you could probably match every weight available for 100-150$ cheaper.
Very true, I just looked it up they cost like 500 fucking dollars and only go up to like 52.5 pounds. Which is gunna be shit for most chest presses or like a dumbbell row.
Aey!
absolutely not. The construction is cheap and shitty. I dropped one about one foot onto a rug after a set and the fucking thing won't hold the heaviest plate anymore because it cracked because they're made from cheap shitty plastic. Also the knurling on the grips feels fucking awful. Literally buy anything else. Lift a bucket full of concrete for all I care just avoid these fuckers.
>unnecessarily complicated, overpriced dumbells
>jew fit
Kek
I got them on sale once. I don't have a lot of space for a dumbbell rack very worth it
Just get this and some 1inch weights.
Just get oly dumbells, they'll be all you ever need
If those were kilos then maybe.
Just get a barbell.
No those are annoying as fuck
Also the weights get too big. You need a bunch of 5 lb. Weights. Anything bigger restricts your ROM
Checked
Had a set, they were pretty gud but the stands to hold them up were flimsy shit
If you get adjustables, get heavier than the 52.5lb Bowflex. I have some and they are fine, but if you are beginning, 52.5lbs will only last you a little while before it isn't enough weight. Things like Bulgarian split squats, chest press, bent over rows.....it isn't enough weight.
Comfy but easy to max out
I bought a used pair.
Didn't like them at all. There's a constant fear of the discs falling off when you're lifting overhead.
Also you can't put them down on the ground between sets, they have to go back in the cradle.
Stick with spinlocks. They're cheaper and more durable.
>buying this trash
>you can't put them down on the ground between sets
why do they explode?
why? do they explode?*
>(((Jufit)))
>dumbbells
Cheap though, and I already have the weights. Whats a good alternative? Or is there denser weights for it one can buy?
How? does it drop the weight?
What bench did you pick up? I want a cheap one since i don’t imagine buying a more expensive bench will affect the performance of it
>Not lifting stones and logs in the forest
never gonna make it
Comfy
Yes, the bar has slotted discs that engage a notch on the plates. You dial the weight in the cradle and the the unused weight stays in the cradle when you use them.
It's gimmicky but a neat concept.
I picked up on sale, it folds up and uses a locking pin to set the incline. There are tons of options on amazon though.
(((Jufit)) is just a bonus.
you can get entire fucking rack of solid dumbbells for that price
>square dumbbells
>hasnt discovered the wheel yet
lol. first of all, no you can't. second of all, why tf would you waste your money on 5 and 10lbs dumbbells you faggot.
you're better off just buying a set of adjustable weights on amazon. I don't think there is denser plates that fit on olympic sized stuff but i could be wrong.
if you use olympic plates not only will it be a pain in the ass (to press 80lbs you would need 4x35lb plates which would be awkward as fuck) but it would also be just as expensive to buy those extra plates in the first place if you don't have em hanging around already.
Just get a pair of oly dumbells you dumbass
you know these guys aren't eating shit for diet....is all this protein I eat just a meme?
Crazy overpriced. Get a barbell and squat rack for the same price
the second you want to lift more than 50 lbs (which will be soon) you will regret it and go buy real adjustable dumbbells, and then you will have 4 dumbbells lying around.
>first of all, no you can't
first of all you're a fag
>waste your money on 5 and 10lbs dumbbells
you're a fucking faggot if the first thing that came to your mind was baby weights
i've just found 750kg worth of dumbbells for the same price
>put down dumbbells
>they spin away
Everything leaves me, even the fucking dumbbells because the floor of the gym is shit.
I would like them cube ones
They are a normal price. The 52.5lb Bowflex adjustables are not $500. You can buy them ebay, amazon for $260 or so. A set of dbs up to 50lbs would cost probably $800 to $1000 and you are never going to use anything below 15lbs even as a beginner. You might use a 10lb for lateral raises if you are really weak. You aren't going to get a squat rack, barbell and weight for $260 or even $500.
Should have known better but here i was thinking they fucking invented anti gravity dumbbells.
better to get some kind of dip/pull-up station. Chin-ups work back and biceps. Dips work chest and triceps. 50 pounds/23 kg is fucking nothing and those dumbbells will be useless in no time.
>you're a fucking faggot if the first thing that came to your mind was baby weights
you get those with a rack whether you want them or not you fucking retard. that was my point.
link a dumbbell rack with weights cheaper than adjustable dumbbells.
I heard that they're way too fucking big and can be uncomfortable to use, but they're easier to re-rack and unrack compared to other adjustable weights. My personal opinion, you should get an Ironmaster instead or a Powerblock (pic related).
The point is that they save space.
I have these, but only because I got them for free. They only go up to 52.5lbs which is nothing. Also they're a bit rattly and clacky which is annoying
t. Hulk
this is the USED set i was talking about
link the ad faggot
When my brother left for the Navy, I sort of inherited his adjustable dumbbells, they're the exact same thing as those and they're pretty good for every lifting day but leg day.
You're better off going to the gym tho. I got mine for free since it was from my brother, but I bought more stuff since then and I couldn't just used that money to buy a gym membership.
They crack and break and fail to hold plates
Maybe for lateral raises. They only go up to 45lbs.
