If I lift first thing, before breakfast, will my gains be slower because I had less energy available to do the workout?
There's no time to eat breakfast and then wait an hour before lifting.

that pic is what soi-sipping leftie men actually believe other people see or think. they actually believe a beard substitutes a strong jawline, masculine behaviors, a warrior mindset. It's what they are - shortcut seeking inactive wimps.
Pic related should be the extent of facial hair that an adult male has.
>no breakfast
>no food so no energy
>lift less
well you will hit less volume overall
eat something easy digestible
like a banana or honey
I blend a cup of oats with protein and whole milk before lifting and ingest some caffeine as well. Quick energy source right there
Is 20 minutes before lifting OK?
I don't want to throw up everywhere.
>well you will hit less volume overall
never understood this. Sure you get exhausted more easily, but that's the point - you WANT to exhaust your muscles.
I have never had any problems with my oat shake before lifting. Your stomach will be decently empty after sleeping anyway
Lol
>letting lefties ruin anything
yeah 20 min is fine , or just wake up earlier and eat something more decent. Coffee helps a lot too
how can you be this DYEL?
When you lift you want to lift the most weight possible with the amount of reps you beforehand planned.
metabolic stress you dumb niggers
progressive overlord is far more important.
do more research before talking DYEL
>implying the two are mutually exclusive
holy shit you're retarded
>be tired
>workout less
>think you will get better gains because you got tired even more
I sincerely doubt I'll make the same gains if I'm lifting at 50% because I have a fever just because I tire more easily
If you eat before going to bed, then first thing in the morning you workout, you will be fine, I haven't had any strength issues doing that.
those guys were badass because they were genius scientists and philosophers in their time. They literally changed history forever, whether or not they had some scruff on their chin or not changes nothing.
Where did I imply that? lmao
Post your body
>If you eat before going to bed
But then you will sleep badly right?
This, I do 16/8 IF. Skip breakfast entirely, and lift first thing in the morning. I get the vast majority of my carbs at dinner, and by the time it's time to lift, they've digested and become available energy.
>Skip breakfast entirely, and lift first thing in the morning
Doesn't that make your muscles eat themselves for energy or something
I've had a similar problem. From my experience, as long as you don't eat too much or eat something that's not easily digestible you're good.
example of my go-to breakfast during that time.
>black coffee
>1 apple (or any other fruit)
>1 oat biscuit
>small piece of toast with PB
might be wrong, but muscle catabolism (when the muscles "eat themselves" for energy) only happens when there's not enough available energy to support the needs. so if you're going to lift really heavy and/or for a long time it might happen. happens to long distance triathletes, they either eat during the event or suffer muscle catabolism.
