Does Jow Forums swim?
I used to swim competitively from 5 years old to the end of college. It makes you skinny, have big hands, broad shoulders and it made my feet overpronate/flat. It’s basically what you don’t want for lifting heavy or to look good.
How the fuck are broad shoulder not what you want to look good?
It's the only positive in a long line of negatives
I was on the swim team in highschool but I was really slow because I refused to shave my big bear, long hair, or massive amounts of body hair
I was a walking dragnet
I can't tread water at all, pls no bulli
Not being able to swim is an incredibly beta characteristic in a man. You're just going to let yourself drown if you fall in a pool?
I’m the first responder and I can’t treat water very easily either. I used to be able to float all day when I was a swimmer but now that I’ve put on muscle since then I sink immediately
Me either, user.
Off the lane line please
Eggbeater kick, tilt your torso back a little, take big controlled breaths. When I tread water, I mostly use my legs to stay up, and my arms to scull. I'm a lifeguard instructor, and have to make sure my students can tread water with no hands for 2 minutes, so ive seen all sorts of... Techniques
Are you gonna post this same fucking thread with that same image every fucking day
>Tweet!
>Sweety...
Your shit genetics did that to you, not swimming
Yes but I dont watch filthy anime
I would if I had a private pool.
Fucking pissers everywhere.
well you can piss right off then
I can't swim because I'm scared of the water. I almost drowned to death two times, so I decided to stick with being a land lover.
Filthy landlubbers DIE!
started recently. attended a course where i got taught the basic strokes and turns
loving it so far
im still struggling with breathing when i try to swim for longer distances tho
anyone got tips for that? is it just lack of endurance?
I also started recently. It's probably just endurance, but you could try moving slower and not rushing. I have a tendency to rush myself when I don't need to.
>t scaredy pants
man up dude, there are children who are 6 that can swim
Serious talk, my gym has a pool I've been thinking about using after workouts. Are there any particular exercises I could do there or it's >just swim bruh?
>what exercises can I do while swimming
Jazzercise?
>what exercises can I do while running
>what exercises can I do while lifting weights?
Swim dolphin style, put weight on ankles and wrists.
T-thanks...
I meant like swimming only using legs or whatever, but I guess it really is >just swim bruh
Imagine the pressure to be stronger than it is. It's scientificsally proven that imagination makes your body exerts itself more, to an extent.
If you just google swim workouts then pick one
that might be my problem aswell since im used to swimming in a 25m pool
maybe my strokerate is just not appropriate for longer distances
Yeah.... In pusssssayyy ahahahahaaha
I'm a decent swimmer, I was really close to training and becoming a lifeguard. I can tread water with no legs, got a really strong scull(?), and a decent front crawl, as well as a fit body. The only issue is that I can't breathe during swimming, I don't know if having my face in the water psyches me out or what. Anything else and I'm fine but make me front crawl and I can't make it 25m without needing to stop for air. I tried for a few weeks of going to the pool every day, seeing no real progress. I had a near professional swimmer helping me too, and he said he was impressed with everything but my breathing. His advice didn't help me much. I eventually gave up trying to become a lifeguard. I wish I could stick with it because I really liked the workout it gave me, but I seriously can't get breathing down. I tried taking a breath every 1, 2, 3, and 4 strokes, and none of them felt right. Taking a sharp breath in and breathing it out underwater doesn't feel like I'm supplying any oxygen to my brain, and I quickly need to stop and tread water to breathe. It was fucking frustrating to fail and probably one of the worst failures I've felt in my life. It left a bad enough taste that I don't really want to try again.
I'd use a snorkel but I don't want to look like an autist
if i still didnt look like an obese sack of shit with massive titties even after loosing 35 i would. I used to swim daily and had great cardio when i was a kid, god damn it im too ashamed of how i look to go to the poolhouse now
Kys
I FUCKING HATE WEEBS
Is there a starting swim program? I know all the strokes but I can't keep the intensity up very long
I swam and got none of those benefits
ya i stopped doing all other cardio and switched to swimming, ive had knee joint pains for years but it stopped around a month aftwerwards
yeah, but not as much as I'd like to
Still yes
google 0 to 1650 (if mediocre swimmer) or 0 to 700 (if bad swimmer)
