- YouTube is now a landfill of listsicles, clickb8, over-exaggeration and shitty diss tracks. - Reddit is lame jokes being beaten to death and then back to life only to be beaten back to death again by normies who think they aren't normies. - Jow Forums is 90% edgelord teens who have no clue what they're actually talking about. - Facebook is where your parents go to share pictures of you when you were seven against your will and read unreliable and de-contextualized blips of news stories you will most certainly be hearing about and doubting the legitimacy of later. - Instagram is pictures of food and dumb political memes - Twitter is witch hunt after witch hunt, shitty meme after shitty meme - Almost all porn is produced by a single company - Niche-interest forums slow as hell and closing down left and right, forcing you to go to Reddit, which is trying too hard to be Facebook at the moment - Small websites are disappearing all the time
The exodus of normalfaggots. Normalfags are shallow and have no personality. They like boring things.
Brandon Perez
The internet got dumbed down and cheaper to access which means normalfags. There are still a few interesting characters here
Brandon Young
I think you may want to hoist your dictionary onto your lap, dust it off, open it to the E section and look up exodus.
Ryan Thompson
as the years passed the internet and computers became less and less of an "autistic nerd" hobby and now literally everyone relies on it. basically its over crowded with normalshits
Hunter Clark
Normalfags; it's the 10% of Jow Forums users that bring me back here.
Dylan Ward
Because people are garbage. The more people use the internet, the worse the internet becomes.
Thomas Diaz
You're saying the internet was good before the normalfags left?
Brody Russell
you're retarded never make another post again
Luke Ortiz
Yeah sure I'm the dumb one.
Colton Thomas
>Where did it all go wrong? you didn't move on like expected
my hobbies are staring at a screen and having no gf. normalfags have way more personality than us. they have short attention spans
Michael Evans
The internet was always garbage you faggot, and I expected you to defend forums as soon as I saw the text of your thread in the catalog and I had to click on it to see all the text.
Levi Sanchez
No, they'll be fine. Maybe not the biggest social network in existence anymore, but they'll get along fine. They're like McDonald's; people have been saying they're "in decline" for almost a decade now but they're still immensely popular, despite no loner being #1.
Jeremiah Barnes
>t. edgelord teen who has no clue what he's actually talking about.
Jack Hughes
Incorrect. The quality of internet content has been on a steady, steep decline since ~2013 and the fact that you think everything's the same shows only that you have no taste.
Nathan Lewis
I've been using the internet since 1995 you scumbag robocucks. It was always trash, you're just finally reaching the end of your line, and so everything seems lame to you, because you should be doing other things than what you're doing now. Forums are awful, they declined for a reason, why do stupid faggots worship forums as if they weren't full of neckbeard autists with narcissistic personality disorders? People got tired of forums and what the average user there had to offer so they switched.
Lucas Hill
Find an irc channel on some niche subject. In general, try to look for places that produce things instead of just consuming them.
Brandon Hughes
>I've been using the internet since 1995 you scumbag robocucks. Says you. Post old-ass wrinkly hands or this didn't happen.
Isaac Adams
I'm not even 30 yet and I'm also ageless and deathless. You should also try to start your ascension, user, so you can transcend your fleshy affairs and be content with yourself.
William Cox
Women started using the internet more often
Daniel Lee
Post something you screenshotted in the 90s you fucking liar.
Benjamin Bailey
>- YouTube is now a landfill of listsicles, clickb8, over-exaggeration and shitty diss tracks.
I remember when making money from YouTube didn't used to be normal. There was this guy I used to watch called Cloud8745, and I remember how people flipped out at him because in 2009, he did a "Donate to me and I'll Let's Play a specific game for you". Now that kind of thing is the norm with Patreon and stuff.
>you fucking liar I would do that if I wasn't on a shitty windows 7 pc I thought was operable but it's buggy as fuck. Not everybody is an 18 year old faggot like you, robocuck. I almost feel like buying some Monster Energy just to drink it so I can spite you.
Jayden Perez
Back in 98 the internet was at its peak you know. The memes back then were on point and actually funny and forums were very interactive. However the concepts of memes faded away up until around 2010 when 9GAG recreated the meme. The internet always has a its ups and downs overtime. We are currently in the downtime for a new up
Isaac Myers
you know what i believe you this post gives me hope
Isaiah Harris
It didnt used to bet that way. Then the jews and the phone people came.
Ryan Bailey
Damn normalfags doing things other than staring at screens. Fucking losers
Josiah Johnson
1.) People started relying on the internet for funds. In turn, content became overly-engineered, disingenuous, and soulless in exchange for getting as much attention and thus as much money as possible. We're beginning to see our first millionaires who came from the internet without actually making a product that could be used as a tool, but rather for making videos of themselves eating and playing video games. 2.) Everyone started taking the internet far too seriously, and as a result, the comedic aspect of internet culture slowly began to erode. As people become more and more sensitive to offensive words, phrases and ideas, people become less willing to joke around about everything because the first have to scan for subtext. The more eggshells you throw down, the harder it is to walk. 3.) The internet became easier to use, and so it became less of an 'occasion' to which to look forward and more of a mundane part of everyone's lives. The excitement aspect has disappeared because you're pretty much never not on the internet. It became easier to post crap without really thinking about it and thus it became easier to flood the internet with information that is neither helpful nor entertaining.
Cameron Morales
2007 when every single normalfag came to internet thanks to Facebook. All those retards talking dumb shit with their real names when the whole point is that you should do that anonymously at Jow Forums.
Andrew Ward
>it was always trash >internet content/culture today is the same quality it was a decade ago >its just the nostalgia >im le oldfag xdd I'm so worn out by this shit. Board/post quality, especially Jow Forums, is nowhere near what it was even 5 years ago. Jow Forums is a long way past its prime. No longer a place of refuge for social outcasts and niche groups, no longer the internet titan of old. Now it's just another bloated corpse swarming with drones looking to associate themselves with the "weird" and "edgy" so as to acquire upvotes and likes, ironically to stand out to their peers who are all preoccupied doing the exact same thing, and ultimately absorb it into the normalsphere. This is just social media with a twist. Billions of words said but no discussion ever had, no meaning ever evident, no contribution ever made. And no, not in the "REEEE NORMIES REEEE autistic_toad.png" way you tunnel-vision fag. It's all so tiresome and I just wish it would end.
It's sad because Jow Forums had built up a reputation for being the cool underground website that people used. It's a shame that Jow Forums is still getting edlord teen fags based on its mid 2000s reputation, the reputation for basically putting it down.
This is more or less true. AS A BOOMER :^], the internet has never been an amazing place. A week ago I looked up all the old stuff I loved about the internet, all the flash games, forums, and old school animated videos. They were okay. Not bad, I don't feel ashamed for liking them, but there was nothing astounding about them. The only thing interesting about the internet a decade ago was that it was less streamlined, which made it "feel" more interesting, but it wasn't actually. I remember winamp skins, limewire, the AOL a/s/l days, etc. The only thing that's changed is now it's crowded with people who don't understand internet culture or nerds in general, so a culture clash happens. That culture clash is seen in heavy trolling on one side, and pussy-ass Now This videos shared across facebook on the other. It wasn't better back then, but it was certainly calmer. That calmness is something I definitely miss, and you can't find that anymore because smaller forums that would normally bring in interesting people are devoured by reddit et al.
Jace Cooper
