What grip are you using? Try mixed.

No. Hook grip.

Use straps to dl but keep working on your grip strength.

use wrist wraps for the heavier part?

Use chalk

Never do mixed grip unless you’re a competitive power lifter. Hook grip is much better for even development

C- Switch to a trap/hex bar for demonic leverage and lovecraftian gains

if your using deadlifts to make gains in your shoulders then you're doing it wrong anyway. Mixed grip hits your biceps and forearms a lot better, the only argument could be made for lat activation but just tight that back up and switch grip between sets or do two sets switching grips.

The only thing mixed grip really impedes is your rotational cuffs and MAYBE lats if you can't engage them.

How do I learn and train hook grip? I've tried it but I just can't get it.

If your grip gives up halfway through a set its because the weight is too much for you.

I only hook grip to warm-up. Can't deadlift real heavy like that, so my actual sets are mixed grip..
But I'm a bit concious about symmetry so I always do an even amount of sets and switch the hand stances.

but my 1 rep max is way higher, and i can rep out one set comfortably but the next set not so much

am i not getting enough rest? 2-3 minutes but i rerack my weights and walk around in between

Honestly this. It's the superior movement. 90% of the ROM with more power.

Fuck hook grip

Nothing wrong with mixed grip. Just switch your grip between sets/workouts in order to keep things even overall.

My DL is lmao4pl8 for 4 reps, what helped my grip was

-Static holds (5 sets DOH, 5 sets mixed grip)
-Doing my stiff leg deadlifts with DOH
-Power shrugs

Not enough rest or the weight is too much. Could maybe be a sweat issue so try chalk first or bring a towel and wipe the bar. You're ego lifting a this point and you cant ego lift on deadlift unless you're planning a trip to snap city.

Mixed grip.

Hook grip is shit for deadlifts.

Care to defend him grip, user? Diddlys aren't meant for forearm training, you know. If your grip is slowing down your lift progress, your whole body will suffer for it.

deadlifting has been helping my grip just stick with it

chalk is a game changer

This. Only an absolute scrub lets grip be the bottleneck for his deadlift. If you want to strengthen your grip, do other shit. Thank god for weighted pullups

My hands are too small for hook grip so I use mixed for my heavy sets and overhand while warming up.
