I talked to my girlfriend about this before and apparently what girls see as dad bod is closer to what we see as bearmode, they still want the guy to have big arms/chest/back just no abs.
It's an age thing most older women go for the bigger less lean guys whereas younger women prefer the Brad Pitt fight club physique.
