I used to think of myself as an anarchist and hid it from my family, until I started communicating with other libertarian socialist community online. I brought up Vladimir Putin, Trump, and Assad, and the shit that they were doing. At which point they told me to fuck off. I also tried to bring up the Rojava Revolution and suggested that the US help them. They didn't like that, either.
The left-anarchist community is also being co-opted by "femarchists" who are third-wave tumblr-tier feminist idiots. If you seem too masculine or bring up anything related to incel shit, they'll try to get rid of you.
I grew out of it and went back to being a normie liberal, only maybe more interventionist. I tend to see ideology as being just a part of youth culture now.
