>2000mg of sodium (preferably Himalayan Pink Salt) max
>4700mg of saltless potassium max (NoSalt/LoSalt are high potassium-low sodium salts available in grocery stores or Amazon and the like)
Mix these in a liter of water and sip it throughout the day. The apple cider vinegar and lemon are optional but recommended for 10+ day fasts.
You can also do this if you feel lightheaded, weak, dizzy, nauseous, etc., on shorter water fasts. Don’t do this while intermittent farting.

No. It only occurs at extremely low body fat (4% or less).

starting 60 hours. last time my main mistake was using the fast as an excuse to skip my workouts, so ofc I felt even more like shit. this time I am adding 40 minutes of uphill running on rest days

I can't sleep or sit still while fasting. Feels like I'm on cocaine.

The other day I was up all day long, and even took a walk late at night and I still lie in bed for 3 hours trying to sleep.
I fucking hate it, especially since I'm trying to get 8 hrs a night.

I used to be this way, now I fall asleep easy when fasting, especially dry fasting. you'll get used to it

Only thing that I've found that helps is magnesium supplements.

Churchill needed to fast for a whole year

IF which was basically keto omad, with a 60 hours fast at the end. I tried to keep up with my regular workout which is mostly body weight squats, dips and chin ups but I ended up skipping most of it.

Will this depression ever go away if I full on fast?
I could entirely stop eating and drinking but would also lie on the floor and watch the ceiling for weeks, if it weren't for people around me becoming worried.

I have made so many mistakes, I became one.

Not sure what makes you depressed so hard to say what the fast will do to your mood.

Generally speaking:
Your first three days are going to suck. You mood will go down. Pissing on a Keto stick and knowing you’ve hit fat burning mode (24-48 hours) can boost moral.

After day three you really start seeing results on the scale, skin, bloatedness. For me, my weight was a main factor in my depression, so this did make me feel better.

But more importantly, and what doesn’t get talked about as much on here is the mental clarity and energy you get after day 3. It amazed me. Felt like I was on an adderall high but no pesky side effects. The mental clarity is the single greatest thing of fasting. Yeah, weight loss is still a goal. But reading, learning, creating. It all interest me again and comes so fucking easy. Burning through a book a day. Pumping my mind full of information on computer science, chemistry, economics, philosophy.

Go in with an open mind. I was ready to put my dads shotgun into my mouth but now I feel like a god.

Don't you lose muscle after 24 hours? How much of a set back am I looking at if I go like 4 days?

Ok, I am gonna try that.
I will workout tomorrow and will have some carbs (50g) because I am working manual labour.
But after that I have 4 days free time. Hopefully it's smooth sailing afterwards.

Any advice on cutting sugar and dairy out of one's diet? I don't really want to fast since I'm fairly underweight but I'd like to be able to stop eating these entirely

Switch to almond milk, literally just don't eat anything with sugar except for fruits and things. It's hard to cut out sugar completely since it's in almost everything just don't be a retard and eat processed cakes and candies and shit

In 5 days of fasting I don’t lose a single pound on my 1rep maxes. As long as you aren’t under 5% body fat you will not lose muscle. And 24 hours is nothing.

Sugar is in almost anything you buy processed.

Yes

I only drink cold brew of any coffee at all. A cup of hot coffee fucks up my stomache when on empty. More of a fan of tea, especially soti since i can just take a few sips from the bottle and feel better.

Fasting lessened my sugar cravings, dont know how much is that of a help. You can look for alternatives e.g. stevia or erythritol instead sugar. There is also this chart but i dont know how legit it is.

Fuck. I just got to like 25 hours and I'm somewhat sleep deprived and somehow I picked up an orange and ate it completely forgetting about the fast. Like my mind was blank.

Ive started fasting. I usually eat my last meal around 6pm, and eat breakfast at 9am.
I go to the gym for a hour and half 3 times a week.
Ive lost 12lbs in a week and half.
I hope it keeps going at this rate.

I have been drinking the normal green tea version and jasmine and honestly if you want a more rich and flowery taste you can go with jasmine. Other than that it just tastes like cooled down green tea, which im personally very fond of. Mint with lemon grass is nice too if you dont want caffeine

My stomach lining is inflamed and starting to getting hurt; I don't have an ulcer (yet) or H. Pylori according to the endoscopy, but I'm having stomach pains all day and the conventional treatment and medicine are not working.
Everything I eat ends up hurting, so I was thinking about a week (or two) long fast, maybe it can heal itself when completely empty. Am I wrong?

I'm pretty lean already so I don't think I can go longer than one week. What do you think?
