funny, it's the exact opposite for me. i've been on this fucking site for more than a decade and i've tried to redpill people on virtually every conceivable topic for most of my boomer life, both here and everywhere from job to uni to family/friends.
my experience is that it is pointless to battle other peoples battles. most people do not wish to be told things, and i now simply keep my mouth shut and let them live their ignorant lives whenever certain topics arise, because i feel that if they don't ask certain questions, they simply do not deserve certain answers.
my golden rule is basically that i will help anyone who honestly wants my help to my best knowledge and intent (because i am not malevolent/abusive) and keep everything else to myself unless i am specifically asked.

how they come back at me would be my own karma, for lack of a better term, and therefore my own problem. if a third party stands to be hurt by someones ignorance, this obviously becomes a different matter - but even then, in my experience, you simply cannot change people that are not seeking change. for instance i once became very angry at a to-be-mom who drank sodas and ate junk food during her pregnancy, telling her that such a diet would hurt her child - and i was extremely cautious, friendly and understanding about it, making suggestions etc.
the outcome is so obvious that i don't even have to tell you both her reaction and the current state of that kid.
