If you are gonna bother with dumbbells make it something like a croc row ffs. Otherwise pendlays or body english barbell rows.

I like close grip cable row. lighter weight and hold for 2 seconds with very slow movements. always gets my back sore

My gym's dumbbells only go up to 50kg, so after I managed to do 20 reps I had to move on to meadows rows because that was the only way I could add more weight. Works pretty good.
Any other row is better.

DB rows off a bench are basically the hallmark of the DYEL. Every gym scrub I've ever seen spends at least 50% of their time doing these fucking things. During peak uni gym hours in the mid/late afternoon, I'd see nothing but bros and thots doing their DB rows over and over and over again.

i do pronated, supinated barbell rows, one arm dumbbell rows, chin ups, pulldowns, farmer walks, back extensions, face pulls, sumo and conventional deadlift.
