Check. Your. Temperature

If it's not 98.6f/37c, you are never going to make it bros. No amount of no fapping can compensate for an underactive thyroid. Hypothyroid in men makes you bald, Low T, and depressed. It is the numale maker.

Get your metabolism up to speed. Test your T3, T4, and TSH. If everything shows up fine and you still have low body temp + low resting heart rate = you're going to need to flush reverse-T3 out of your system.

Cytomel is the cure. This is a PSA for all of Jow Forums.

remember to take your temp rectally for the best accuracy

What do you do if your thyroid is fucked?

my natural temp is 99.5f and im always sweaty

Take more caffeine

>low T
>bald

Literally the opposite. You only go bald from too much T. Your hair follicles can only deal with so much T before they give up.

Normal body temperature varies based on where you take it

>If it's not 98.6f/37c, you are never going to make it bros.

37 taken from where?

HOLY COPE

Vitamin E and iodine+selenium are helpful, but they are dependent on your T4 converting to T3 efficiently.

If your thyroid is fucked, nothing but straight T3 (Cytomel, Tiromel etc) will help you. Doctors like to prescribe T4-only or T4-T3 combination drugs. Counter-productive if your T4 is pumping out reverse-T3.

A few cycles of Cytomel will sort your thyroid out.

No it isn't
What causes it is moderate-high estrogen converting testosterone into DHT

>moderate-high estrogen
>converting test to DHT
You do know that DHT inhibits estrogen right?

My mother has massive thyroid issues and so do people on my father's side of the family
Should I get it checked out bros?

>women don't have T
>women don't go bald
>but lacking T makes men go bald?

Really makes me think.

Attached: rundown.png (500x387, 322K)

No, it only inhibits prolactin. Not est.
You need both. High estrogen and moderate amounts of testosterone. Such as the s*yboys, who have that hormonal balance

Attached: bog attack.jpg (600x456, 61K)

Why is hair loss a symptom of low testosterone? Why do men with low T end up with a bunch of DHT in their hair follicles?

You are thinking of progesterone.

Yes.

You need to think some more.

Ur mom's ass. With m y dick.

You guys like ray peat?

Show me a single s*yboy lanklet who's bald, and I'll show you 5 million beefy actors, athletes, and rockstars that are bald. Hipster s*yboy faggots always have full heads of hair because they're lacking in T.

Pure testosterone has no direct effect on male pattern baldness. If you had spent even 5 minutes reading about it youd know that.

Then explain why all the high T men are bald. Whoops, there goes your argument fagtron.

Trips of deceit, stop lying Satan fag

Steroids and age don't do the hairline many favors. You can literally see the calcification of Statham's scalp in your pic. Patrick Stewart is the same.

Hey guys why does rogaine/midoxinil "work" for hair growth?
>Directs blood flow to the scalp
What does a healthy thyroid and metabolism do?
>Directs blood flow to the scalp

Look into scalp decalcification.

The relationship between testosterone and hairloss is woefully misunderstood.

Cmon buddy, you can do better than that.

Friendly reminder that people with high body temperatures die sooner and age quicker.

All bumps are appreciated. Thread is intended for awareness. Only way you win = taking your temperature and making sure it checks out.

Hyperthyroid is bad, but hypothyroid is worse. Also goes undetected far more often:

98.6f + (1.5 degrees) = 100.1f
>you get sent home from work and checked out.
98.6f - (1.5 degrees) = 97.1f
>you get jack shit, and suffer through life being tired, fat and depressed.

same i wear t-shirts in the winter sometimes and everyone thinks I'm crazy

Its almost like there are other compounds the body produced alongside testosterone

I’m usually 97.5 and I would never get sent home from school even though I knew I had a fever at 98.6+

>average body temp is 96.9
Am I fucked?

Body temperature fluctuates throughout the day. Early morning will be lower than at night. If that 96.9f is accurate, you're very low no matter what time of day it is. Get your TSH, T3 and T4 tests taken.

Or just cycle Cytomel for a few weeks and see how you feel. Decide for yourself.

Jesus christ this board is retarded

If you're cutting your temperature will fall if you bulk it will rise.

This is good point to make. If you are hypothyroid, the last thing you want to do is /fast/. Seems counter-intuitive, since hypothyroid sufferers are usually fat, but fasting slows down the metabolism even further.

And a ketogenic, low-carb diet? That jacks up your thyroid, too.

explain

Legit

can you check my temperature with your dick too?
mouth, butthole or armpit?

Roids make you bald too and nobody deally gives a fuck.
Also, faster metabolism means shorter life and body temp changes depending on many factors, including temperature of air, how much sleep you have and what time it is.
You're not a doctor to tell if one has underactive thyroid.

Never said I was an MD. Since you're already butthurt, do yourself a favor and stick a thermometer up your ass.

What if I have high body temp and fat tired and lethargic?

Take your body temperature throughout the day for several days to make sure. Also, check your resting heart rate. Many folks see low RHR = healthy, but that's not always the case.

If your resting heart rate is fine, then your problem isn't thyroid-related. Look into a salt/iron/B12 deficiency.

97.9
Wp back when I was depressed and losing my mind I was literally running about 96. I don't know what the egg head talk means but yeah I'm probably fucked

the only reason people go bald is because their scalp and hair follicles are more susceptible to DHT than that of a person without the hair loss gene. It's the conversion of 5-alpha reductase into the WNT pathways that hair is either created or destroyed, the signal delivered by DHT becomes overcompensated by the androgen receptors in the scalp/follicles.

At the end of the day, no autoimmune or thyroid disorder is going to make you go progress through the norwood scale of baldness.

My doc has prescribed me potassium (i think that's what it is?) supplements for my Hypothyroid starting last month.

It's crazy how much it has helped me, I look forward to exercising now, even if I'm sore as fuck, today I'm almost at a 1.5k kcal deficit and could go for another workout, I start to feel less like shit as well now.

you probably mean iodine

What the fuck I've been doing keto for 1.5 months. Lost a good amount of weight but I have symptoms of a bad thyroid as well how will it fuck me up?

I have autoimmune hyperthyroidism. I also have a fever for the first time in years. I also have either Graves' or celiac disease that gives me diarrhea. I am also working on fixing them with my doc.

Yeah it says Iodine (Iodit) on the packaging, I'm german, assumed Iodine was the same as Potassium, is it not?

you probably have iodine bonded with potassium; potassium iodide. it's not the same thing, but both are used to treat hyperthyroidism.

Potassium (Kalium I think you call it) is in bananas, oranges, potatoes etc.
Iodine is in other foods, also in iodized table salt (aka almost every salt). Just eat more salt nigga.

I already eat shit tons of salt, but it might not be Iodized, I'll have to ask our canteen where they get their salt.

I did switch to eating much more fish to get more Iodine, I'll get another blood tests in a few months.

I never expected it to make such a big difference in how active I become.

Went with the carnivore meme, myself. Also lost a good amount of weight but ended up hitting a wall. Counting my calories I knew I should've been losing pounds every week. Wasn't until I checked out my body temperature (sub 97f) that I discovered my thyroid problem.

Get on some Cytomel and reintroduce some carbs into your diet.
Iodine in expensive, and the amount in table salt = just enough to avoid getting goiters. Unless you live on a diet of seaweed, you need to supplement iodine.

Are you retarded? One tsp of iodized table salt has 400mg iodine, more than your daily needs. And salt is dirt cheap unless you live 1000 years in the past.
>canteen
>not cooking your own food
underage b&

>>canteen
>>not cooking your own food
>underage b&

Not sure how to call it other than a canteen (not English native), basically it's just frozen shit.

Probably should make my own stuff.

Google iodized salt absorption rates. You aren't getting what's been advertised.

Do we need to bring in the iodine infographic?

Attached: retarded.gif (240x184, 520K)

>iodine infographic
Can you post it?

Thanks bro.

If I take T3 will I feel the benefits of Iodine?

Straight-up T3 (in the form of Cytomel) is like a shortcut into good thyroid health. It'll suppress T4 allowing reverse-T3 to flush out. The idea is that after cycling cytomel, T4->T3 conversion comes back to healthy levels.

T4 is 65% iodine by weight. So once you're done supplementing T3 and your body gets back into making its own, you'll want iodine to pump up your T4. Take selenium and ZMA to help with iodine absorption.

Does anyone do this? Did you feel better?

I take iodine (lugols) teo drops in my water bottle every morning. Can't say I've felt better but people report they do. It can't hurt to keep doing it.

Eggs have iodine in them btw, so if you're a true Jow Forumsizen you eat them and get your iodine.

Constant supplementation in iodine can cause hypothyroidism tho, along with a whole host of other really terrible shit.

How long should I take iodine supplements?

lol it's always something with this board
