Hey Jow Forums, Im a newbie when it comes to fitness. I jog for 30 minutes every day, and then lift 11.5kg weights and do 200 sit ups, followed up by some miscellaneous workouts. One thing has been plaguing me for the longest time now, and its the fact that I cant make any major gains. Biggest problem though is my lower abdomen (pic related) and my ass. I want to get rid off the fat that I used to have, and for the most part ive done great. I just dont know what to do to finish off my fat% loss so that I can focus more on gains. any help?

My fault for not giving details, but Ive been on dieting since I was 13. I was obese back then and Ive slowly lost the weight whilst growing. Its only been since last year that Ive dabled in exercise
I just answered your question, the only way to get rid of the extra fat you currently have is to eat less calories than you need to maintain your fatty tissue.
Eating micronutrient dense but not caloric dense foods is gonna make it easier for you.

Youre probably doing too much cardio and eating too little and still not losing hella weight. If you want to see more abs and less fat overa add more cardio OR lower your food a bit. If you feel like you cant do this then forget about getting shredded and start focusing on slowly building muscle. Maybe start off by eating a few hundred more calories (up the protein if it isnt high) and maybe subtract a day or two of cardio. If you find that you start gaining weight like crazy then thats bcuz you already fucked your metabolism up and youre going to have to walk the calories up or eat at maintenance while lifting for a while.
Tbh your body isnt in a bad shape dude just focus on your goal and what you want from all of this.

Age now? Being on a "diet" since 13 could have done some damage too since normal people diets are usually terrible. Dont let these fit fags discourage you user. These dude got into bodybuilding for women and when they found out it didnt fix their autism and women didnt care about the muscle then they switched over to worshipping traps and men in general.
Get on a strength program for a month or two then a bro split for years and eat your carbs and protein and fat and lift heavy but lift smart and in a few years youll be the man you want to be.

Eat more food. Lift heavier than 11.5 kg. I lift 20 kg regularly and I'm not particularly strong. If you don't struggle with the workout, then the weight isn't heavy enough.

Just eat at maintenance and lift hard, you'll be surprised how well that works versus obsessing over the last 2.5% of body fat that you need to lose to finally quallify for Mrs. Auschwitz 2018.

OP here. Always knew Jow Forums was harsh, but it does feel harsher when you put yourself out on an user site.
Nevertheless Ive read all the replies and I will take all of your recommendations and try to realize them. Also I guess my chest isnt good either, so maybe I should up the push ups.
In terms of dieting, ill up my cal count and try to add more protein (something i just realized I wasnt getting enough of). Will also try and up the weights to 15.5 kg, which last time I checked I could barely lift (keep in mind these are single handed lifts).
Yes we call those single handed lifts curls in the Holy Church of iron. Try lifting them over your head for some shoulder pumps
