Hi guys, I'm 1 week in again. I've managed to lose 2 kg by just reducing food intake, I'll make my own workout schedule tomorrow and start on Monday with exercises.

This week I reduced my calorie intake to around 1800. According to losertown I should have lost 1 kg, but I managed to lose 2kg, I think it's because I lowered my sodium consumption and started drinking more water again.

What workout are you doing? If it's cardio, which means, if you are training your oxidative metabolism, hell yes. It's the best possible thing to consume fat. If you are doing weightlifting for strength (FOR STRENGTH, not to lose weight), no. You need carbohydrates.

Feeling happy about it but i want to keep on losing weight since I'm just at the threshold for normal and I want to get to a more comfortable range. If you want my miserable opinion, i would fast. Get shredded and start from there.
Summer is over, so you have 1 year to get in good shape, and you POSITIVELY can do that.
But if you are fat, it will be very difficult go gain muscle and lose fat. It's not something that easy, unless you know your body and you know how to do that, which you probably won't.
If i were you, i would do 1 month cardio and fast (say 6 days fast, 1 day eating). you can lose 10 Kg in 1 month. It's not a joke or an exaggeration. Get down to 11% body fat (USE A METER and the Navy Algorithm to determine your BF% healthstatus.com/calculate/body-fat-percentage-calculator ) At the end you will have a great cardiovascular conditioning at the end of it. You can even lose fat with weightlifting, just doing low weight, high reps BUT in this case it is VERY, very, very very hard to count your calories and determine if you have really worked out. If you are really out of shape, ANYTHING will give you strength at the beginning, even cardio.

Food scale and calorie counting works. Just don't be lazy and weigh/log everything. Cooking your own meals in batches is cheap and tastes way better than any fast food.

Fasting General is FULL of people who are fasting. I fast 3 times a week for more than 36 hours, and i'm at less than 12% body fat. I do 10Km trekking during every single one of those days. I can't do prolonged fasts because i have no fat to sustain my body with. But YES, it's is perfectly sustainable if you are fat; it's the reason you are fat, to sustain fasting periods. I've been fasting for months now, and i will never give up the feeling your body gives you when you are totally depleted of glycogen and there is no insulin in your body; it's a complete different hormonal and emotional state, which most people of today's world will never experience.

Everybody here has an opinion. In my opinion, go for low carb CICO. You will function, you will feel good, you will be able to go and eat out like a normal person. Fasting will make you lose weight at double the speed, but that also puts you in danger of loose skin. Plus, you won't develop healthy eating habits. Go for 1000kcal defict, only carbs allowed are veggies, eat meat and eggs, avoid dairy. You'll lose 1k per week. I find it sustainable and safe.

calories is just an informal name for kcalories. It's the same. Just adjust your daily ingest to a 1000 deficit instead of 1600. You will feel better. Also ditch all carbs except vegs (no potatoes) and you will stop feeling hungry.

There will be days where you cave in and eat 4000+ calories or miss a few workouts. Make sure you don't beat yourself up over these mistakes as it will make everything way worse.
