So I have Tricuspid Valve Regurgitation and I'm currently barely able to walk a block before getting lightheaded and short of breath. It's been about 4 days since my stress test at the cardiologist (when all of this started). Waiting on test results but I've decided to take this into my own hands on top of the doctor visits.

It's genetic and runs in my family. My dad cured his last year in about two weeks by taking CoQ10, D-Ribose, Magnesium, L-Carnatine and Omega 3, along with some other standard B/C/D vitamins.

Anyone ever have this?
Any other tips for good heart health?
What are the best foods I can eat for my heart?
Will stretching cause your heart to do extra work?
Any other supplements that are great for the heart?

Literally has nothing to do with TVR.

how does it not, the graphic shows volume and presure scale from the "left heart" for teaching purpose but its analogous with the "right heard", you can even see the tricuspid valve in the picture

There's no blood or leaking valve in the infographic. Just the interior of an empty moving heart. It doesn't help to solve anything.

> My dad cured his anatomic valvular defect with vitamins
no he didn't you fucktard

where you droped on your head as a child? thats a representation of a normal cardiac cycle and the implication was that OP couldnt do that, since he cant because he has TVR, It makes sense and its retaled to the subject
also searching for medical advice here is fucking retarted why dont you guys just put a wrench up in your ass and fix the loose screws you have

You can literally cure congenital heart failure with those. Those vitamins are the nutrients used to start ATP in the cells of your heart.

How did you get through middle school with that grammar?

Babies with fucked up hearts have anatomical problems, not issues with ATP generation.

Anatomical issues with the heart are generally caused by mutated genes which cause issues with ATP generation. Look it up kook.

Your best bet is keeping a close bond with your Cardiologist, going for regular check-ups & asking them questions you have.

>Anyone ever have this?
No, final year medical student though (No bully pls)
>Any other tips for good heart health?
Moderate exercise (Within the limits of your ability), don't smoke, good diet, stay off cocaine/amphetamines & don't become an alcoholic.
>What are the best foods I can eat for my heart?
The best you can do now is having a good diet low in saturated fats, your arteries will thank you for it 40 years from now.
>Will stretching cause your heart to do extra work?
Yep! Stretching of the heart muscle actually increases the force of contraction....until a point. Think of it like a spring, eventually, it just becomes floppy which can lead to heart failure. This is best monitored through your Cardiologist.
>Any other supplements that are great for the heart?
Not that I'm aware of, feel free to do research.

Forgot to mention, valve replacement might be something to consider in future if does get particularly bad.

are you daft? OP said he was experiencing heart failure. you, OP, and OP's cardiologists are retards for not seeking immediate intervention.

OP, did they do any imaging during your most recent visit? if not, get to your nearest cardiologist with half a brain and get an echo and an MRA --- stat!

t. armchair cardiologist and heartlet

can someone redpill me on CoQ10?

Sounds like exertional dyspnea secondary to the TR to me, 4-day history sounds like its way too short Hx to be chronic heart failure and if it was acute heart failure well, OP wouldn't be posting here...

he's feeling good enough to post on a chinese weebo image board he doesnt need any STAT imaging. And no way he knows he has tricuspid regurg if he hasnt had an echo yet.

Already had an echo.

are you at a good hospital? if shit was hitting the fan for me I would only go to a top tier hospital.

stay the fuck away from regional bullshit. also, if your issues are congenital, you need to be at a children's hospital no matter how embarrassing it is. adult congenital patients are a new thing because before the mid-80s hardly any congenital patients with complicated issues survived to adulthood.

Not currently at a hospital. There's one like a mile from me that has some of the best cardiac doctors in the nation and my cardiologist is pushing all of the tests and shit through my insurance company for me just so they have to approve them.

Chillin'. Just worn out for the next few days until I get more tests done to find out exactly what needs to be fixed.

I'll definitely check out a children's hospital. Not embarrassed if it's my life. Never thought about it.

children's hospital would be if it was congenital... ask your doctor if it's congenital and if he is then get a referral. but if as you say your hospital has good cardiologists, then just stay there.

wish you all the best!

Look, it's the internet, and I know you will never believe me, but I actually am a medical doctor. I literally have an MD degree. This is not how it works.

Hey fellow docfag, quick question, what actual data led you to believe saturated fat = atherosclerosis? Surely your viewpoint there is driven by some kind of data, and not just regurgitation of correct answers on Step 2

Idk, M4 right now so I literally no nothing let alone what studies led me to believe that.

Do you study nutrition? You can be an MD in lots of different things.

I have to agree with you about the SatFats though. Fats and salt are good for you and they were only seen to be bad for you because the sugar industry paid off the American Heart Association. It's the same case as the paper industry vs. the hemp industry considering hemp is a superior material.

You should read the book The Sinatra Solution: Metabolic Cardiology. A lot of it is success stories to prove that it works but they go pretty deep into the science behind ATP and fixing heart failure. If it can fix congenital heart failure it can figure a leakage in a valve. I know it's just anecdotal evidence but my dad is straight chillin' and has better cardio stamina than ever.

more info on this plz!

is it safe for people with hypertension?

any downsides?

Seems like it helps.

You do not have congenital heart failure, you have a congenital valvular defect. The fact that you don't know the difference between heart failure and valvular defect is not encouraging, but I'll look into the Sinatra book either way. Thanks for the rec.

I understand what the difference it. The valve failure can enlarge the right atrium which CAUSES heart failure. Why would it not be able to fix the valve?

But no problem dude. Hope you like the book.
