Doesn't matter, whichever helps motivate you to get your workout in.

Why are you showing us how much time you have spent on reddit?

i just switched from PPL to Upper Lower, to focus on my legs. i would recommend doing PPL first , experiment and keep the exercises that work best for you

High frequency is better for hypertrophy if the volume is the same

>High frequency is better for hypertrophy if the volume is the same
The fuck did you just say?

Full body is goat tier
>more fun since less repetition
>faster gains
>burns more fat
>can do your runs on off days

i started doing this 2 times a week

really thinking about starting to run now that i have so much rest days

Do it. The benefits of doing lots of cardio are unreal. Not only does it help your other workouts, life is just overall easier with high lung capacity

How often are you supposed to do full body? And is it just one exercise per muscle group?

Would it be possible to do full body every day?

Does cardio increase lung capacity? I have way smaller lungs than the average girl even though I've done sports for over 15 years.

>No post workout pump

I guess it might not necessarily increase lung capacity but it teaches your body to use oxygen more efficiently

So what would be a good full body workout boys?

Deadlift, squat, OHP, bench, incline bench, and various accessories to hit the smaller muscles

Three times per week is optimal.

Doesnt matter dude. Just hit everything

i do it 2 times with 4 different supersets x3

obviously i cant do as much reps as i did before but the time i save is of the fucking charts

shitty advice

What’s the GOAT full body routine for an advanced novice?

can one of you guy who advocates for full body post bod? i can't see twice a week showing meaningful aesthetic gains, miss me with that gay ass strength shit

Like I said spicycurrie...You have the lower body and you have no upper body, you got a problem building...wait a minute. You have the upper body spicycurrie, and you have no legs, you got a problem building your legs spicycurrie. You have the upper...you have the lower body and you don't have the upper body, the upper body, it is easier to build. So if you have the lower body spicycurrie and you don't have the upper body, it is easier to build the upper body. You have the upper body and you don't have the legs, you got a problem building the lower body spicycurrie... No, spicycurrie you don't understand. You have the upper body, but you don't have the lower body, you got a problem building downstairs. You got the up- legs on the bottom, it is easier to build on the top, so you don't have much as a problem. Yeah.

Well SS has a variation for "advanced novices". But after that you're supposed to switch over to an intermediate program. You could try consulting /plg/ but they're a bunch of unhelpful faggots anyway. Texas Method is pretty common. Or you could try madcow. Plenty of other intermediate options too.

Ive been doing full body since whenever I've understood what the fuck I'm doing. I just make sure I hit every muscle group with my workout.

For example, for shoulders I can do either Shoulder 21's on Monday and a combination of OHP and bent-over rows on Wednesday..

Ofc rows hit more than just rear delts, but the idea is to make sure all 3 heads of your shoulders get worked. I would reccommend dividing your body into muscle groups and just making sure each muscle group gets 3 sets of 8-12 reps.

That's why most fullbody routines center around each day having 3 main compound lifts. A push, a pull, and a legs lift. And then whatever accessories after that.

never heard of the advanced novice version of SS. care to poast?

Just slight variations you can do before moving on to an intermediate program like TM.

Enlighten us. Post a FB program that you can run as AxAxAxx vs an U/L that you can run ULULUxx and compare frequency, workload, etc

Full body 3x/week
LISS in between
Do for 6-12 months.
Enjoy being a chad.

Why are you trying to reinvent the wheel? That depends on your personal goals, where you are in terms of being a novice/intermediate/whatever, and so on.

In general the things you're going to be doing are
>squats, front squats
>deadlifts, romanian deadlifts, back extensions
>pullups, chinups, rows, facepulls
>overhead press, bench press, lying triceps extension
Each workout is probably going to revolve around a push, pull, and legs exercise, with anything else being low-intensity accessories. So just pick shit that works for you and is balanced.

For example, I do a variation of Texas Method but with pendlay rows instead of cleans and romanian deadlifts instead of back extensions.

you were doing so well until TM, baka

>that Genoa reference

What's wrong with TM?

it’s gay

any other issues?

mostly the fact that it’s gay

okay, guess I'm gay now. n-no homo

Wanna get a strong lower body but mediocre upper?
Do Starting Strength

Wanna get strong as a bull?
Do Strong Lifts 5x5

Wanna be somewhat strong and a little aesthetic?
Do Upper Lower

Wanna be a little strong and aesthetic?
Do Upper Lower Push Pull Leg
UPxPPLxx

Wanna be an Aesthetic God?
Do PPLPPLx

I do Half Body 6 days a week

Monday, Wednesday and Friday
Chest
Shoulders
Quads
Triceps

Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday
Back
Hams
Biceps
Abs

Eat big lift big. Do big three every workout, but only push one hard. Then do whatever accessory work.

guess not :(

can't go wrong with either big dawg

whats your progression like?

None of this means anything. The devil is in the details, if you’re not programming right you’ll get bad results with any of these.

Both work. Now stfu and go lift.

>no rows or pull-ups
Yikes

U&L is superior to PPL since PPL is just a brosplit but structured differently and a 4 day Push Pull is hard to pull off

>less repetition
a-user how DYEL are you?

You can even do 2 days but you just do more work during these 2 than having 1 light workout in between.

I do the same weights with super-sets as I would do without super setting , geez user do short breaks in between to recover to actually pull off the exercises in a decent way

>ADVANCED NOVICES
that's where you do a real routine

>Upper Lower Push Pull Leg
you will need machines to pull these off , really dumb programs

>Half Body
you're doing a Push Pull mate

the same volume spread over more sessions (same sets per week done over more sessions) promotes hypertrophy

Looking to do this after I reach 3pl8 Squat on SS soon. Anything im missing?

Monday & Thursday
Squat 3x5
Bench/Press 3x5
Dips 3x10
Press/Bench 3x10
Tricep extension 3x12
Lat raise 3x12

Tuesday & friday
Deadlift/RDL 3x5
Barbell row 3x5
Pullup 3x10
Shrug 3x10
Facepull 3x12
Hammer curl 3x12

bw pull-ups and dips?

For starters, yes. But the Idea is to progress to weighted when possible

Got ya.
Didn't answer your question because I know jack shit about programming, sorry

You should probably vary your workouts more. This looks like you just grabbed something from the internet. Why are half your days the exact same as the other half?

Not just gay, but '70s style gay, which is the best gay.
Prepare to
>hate mondays
>get strong as fuck
>really, have you seen anybody squatting more than 3plates at your gym? maybe a guy or 2? you're that guy now.

It's what some of the big guys in my gym use. I figured the lack of variety would help progress, specially since i havent done any isolation before this. What are other things I would need?

>How often are you supposed to do full body?
Usually 3/week. It can easily morph into upper/lower/full body/full body or push/pull/full body/full body if needed (like for interms).
>And is it just one exercise per muscle group?
Full body routines are aimed at the 'get strong' guys, so yeah, it's often just 1 exercise, but go hard and heavy, like do 5x5 squat, 5x5 bench, and then OOPS time to deadlift (Texas Method's basic monday).
It's more than enough of a workout.

maybe something like this?

Attached: Greyskull LP.png (700x600, 19K)

Full body 3x a week either SS or SL
Then move to a full body intermediate program w/ accessories
I don't know what you're supposed to do past that point, but I assume it would be push/pull

Fierce 5 on the bb.com forums is a good one, well-balanced

bb is big gay tho

I forgot rows. I consider pull ups minor accessory lifts

Monday:lower
Tuesday:Upper
Wednsday:lower
Thursday:Push (upper)
Friday:Pull (upper)

Legs 2 days a week, upper body 3 times. Superior split. But you are not advanced enough to do it. Hah

why not Lower/Upper/Pull/Push/Legs?

But you aren't training any muscle more often than with a regular U/L, you are just splitting your last upper workout session into 2.

so your upper body gets a rest.

And by splitting it in two you get can get more volume done in those two workouts.

Did just that friend, but I'm afraid to lose gains.

Hah! You sure showed him what is what. You sir, win the internets

Both are great

M: Upper
T: Lower
W: Upper
T: Lower
F: Upper
S: Rest
S: Rest

Is there intermediate fullbody if you want to focus on size? Do you still do big 3 but with varying rep ranges plus some isolations?
