Its just what I've observed, so in that sense it may be shortsighted. But to me it makes sense - If you're going to date outside of your race and deal with all of those uncomfortable talks with parents and family members, you're likely thinking long term, possibly foolishly so. On the contrary, those dating within their race are more often literally normal people testing the waters or taking things slow.
