Does going to the chiropractor provide any real benefits or is just glorified massage?
Does going to the chiropractor provide any real benefits or is just glorified massage?
>dude like all diseases are caused by spinal misalignment lmao
>even cancer
what do you think?
when i was a child i had back problems that chiropractors fixed
> single anecdotal evidence
hence placebo
Believe i have cysts on my spine, can they fix that.
close. All disease begins in the gut
yea not really i had distinctive horrible back pain from hunching in a computer chair that was alleviated entirely for weeks after visits
they correct bad posture and habits, and can usually explain why you have certain pain and then fix it.
They aren't doctors, just basically bone/muscle/joint/etc therapists.
>malpractice
Chiropractors are not doctors.
Who's this? Also, pic related
My chiropractor helped me so much, but he was more science-based and less quack bullshit, so it depends on who you go to. He cracked my back and electroded it and all that jazz, but when my back still wasn't feeling right he dug deep and did some x-rays. turns out one of my legs is .4 inches shorter than the other, thus throwing off my posture and balance. he had a custom show insert made for me and it's pretty much got me completely well.
>Does going to the chiropractor provide any real benefits or is just glorified massage?
They can fix symptoms; if you don't change your ways, you'll need to keep seeing them.
an adjustment will improve your posture and have you feeling awesome but in a couple days you'll be back to where you were
>implying there is no benefit to a massage
The fuck is the average age on this board? 17?
>one of my legs is .4 inches shorter than the other
Holy fuck. Were you raised in Chernobyl?
It’s a lot more common than you think but usually it’s because of a tight psoas not actually due to short bones
I'm sure minute differences are quite common, but a 0.4 inch difference is quite odd.
Upto half an inch is quite common. Notice how most people lean one way at the hips? That’s both a result and serves to make it worse.
I just saw this dude today on youtube.
He always got fucking 10/10s going to his massage place to gey handled by him, does he just hire them?
This shit is almost porn, theres even one video wheres this 10/10 blondies got her nipples showing thru her shirt and shit.
Thus all disease begins in the mouth
>theres even one video wheres this 10/10 blondies got her nipples showing thru her shirt and shit.
come on man you can't leave us hanging like that
Why can't dumbass fucking normies just fucking lift weights instead if relying on bullshit like chiropractors and pain medication when they feel pain
...
Lol
Sauce me up senpai
Yeah I could go for a hip pop too
There are real chiropractors and then there are the meme youtube chiropractors. Realistically, human biomechanics can be really complex, and the doctors who really know what they're doing can change your life. They can really save you a lot of pain when it comes to workout-related injuries, especially spinal disk injuries.
Fuck I wish that was me. The girl, that is. No homo
HOME RUN!
It depends on the country, the school the chiropractor went to, and how recently. In Canada, where I'm from, they have basically the same training as physiotherapists, plus another year's worth of back-specific stuff. In the US, there seems to be a much wider variance in quality and expertise - it's much more of a "mine field" looking for a chiro. Depending on your specific injury/condition, the back thrusts a chiro does may loosen you up and relieve pain so that you respond better to other treatments like therapeutic exercise, massage, joint manipulations, etc. Overall, I think they can do quite a bit of good, as long as they stick to their scope of practice.
I had this shit in my recommendations today too
Physiotherapists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other non-doctor health professionals can be sued for malpractice, just like a doctor.
underwhelming
Chriopractors are quacks.
enjoy your stroke
>they think they can align your spine to the cosmic energy will flow better into your rectum
cpp.in.ua
>do all the recommended stretching and stuff like staying in a weird position for 5 minutes
>hate doing it and after I stop my lordosis is still there
>start lifting
>lordosis disappears as my muscles get stronger
they're quacks
>The chiropractic approach to medicine emerged towards the end of the nineteenth entury with a radically new view on health. The
founders of chiropractic therapy argued that poor health was due to subluxations, by which they meant slight misalignments of the vertebrae in the spine. In turn, they believed that subluxations inter-fered with the flow of so-called innate intelligence (akin to a life force or vital energy), which then led to health problems of all sorts. But there is no evidence for the existence of innate intelligence or its role in health. The concepts of innate intelligence and subluxations are as mystical and as baffling as the concepts of Ch'i in acupuncture or extreme dilution in homeopathy, which means it makes no sense at all from a modern scientific point of view. That is why chiropractic treatment is still considered by many as an alternative medicine -despite its current popularity #153-154
>are you a chiropractor?
>i have a large bone that needs treatment
>are you a chiropractor?
>because i see a nice hip that will need treatment
Almost as if modern science can’t cure some things as well as chiropractors
They're are corrective exercises for this....he just gave you a quick fix
they helped me after my car accident
