So i ran into this stuff in some healthfood store, im in Aus btw, and was blown away by how much protein it had compared to the ratio of carbs. How does this work, am i missing something? Could i literally only eat this all day until i hit my calorie target?
How are these macros possible? Too good to be true?

Lmao no thanks
Yeah but how much does it cost?
Garbonzo beans are awesome. You'll need to supplement your diet with a wider variety foods, but yes, you could.
I got a pound last week for around $5USD.
I've never even heard of chickpea pasta. But I googled it and there are multiple brands and you can buy it online. Please try it and tell us how it tastes. I've tried that super low carb pasta made from japanese yam and it was kinda gross. If this chickpea stuff tastes like real food it should become more of a thing
So about 5 times the price. I don't know bruh. If they taste good they could be worth it
>Please try it and tell us how it tastes
It tastes OK-ish, a bit like whole wheat pasta.
Look at these ! Behold the ultimate snack, it's from some turkey jerky in Europe
>all that fibre
I wouldn’t eat too much of it if I were you, maybe on a cut only
215 kcal and 45 grams of protein/ 100g
Try to find better
You eat them cooked. Its texture is soft with some strength in its form. Its taste is a buttery, seed like flavor. They contain a good amount of fat and starchy sugars so they are very tasty. I could eat them every day.
I buy in bulk and can get 10kg for about $30.

wat is zout?
Salt.
how many retards in this thread think you are talking about the whole food product chickpeas and not this fettuccine made with chickpeas.
me
Not complete fuck protein. Vegetable protein doesn't count since it doesn't have all the aminos to build muscle.
>Product of china
I wouldn't touch any food product made in china with a ten foot pole
These and all variants of them taste like shit. Just eat normal food

The macros are possible because its chickpeas, dude. Theres all kinds of grain subsitutes you can turn to out there. A lot egg based. They're awesome for cutting.
>>chickpea fettuccine
>>mostly onions
>>kek'ed
Mediterranean master race.
>>study about female rats without ovaries
>>applicable to human males
>>try harder
>chickpea (a fucking legume)
Enjoy your phytoestrogens
That shit gives me the worst indigestion ever
wtf this shit is gold, i had some chickpeas pasta that got 30g of carbs and 20g of protein and i thought it was good but holy shit those macros are crazy
Do all beans/legumes really contain substantial amounts of phytoestrogens like soi? Im gonna need a source on that...
Why do you think they nicknamed Garbanzo beans "chick" peas?
Bit of a discrepency here, how the fuck is there 23g of carbs total but 18 and 10 grams of fiber and sugar respectively? That doesnt add up
Soluble vs insoluble fiber
That doesnt change anything, the mass doesnt add up, and soluble fibers arent equivalent to sugars neither
Insoluble fiber is not a digestible carbohydrate and is not counted in the calorie total. Lrn2nutrtn
If the edamame and chickpea are equal amounts, you will get the protein advertised, plant proteins need another plant protein to become usable
