See your doctor before fasting if you have any sort of chronic illness (type 1 diabetes, malnourished, underweight, pregnant, breastfeeding)

>2000mg of sodium (preferably Himalayan Pink Salt) max
>4700mg of saltless potassium max (NoSalt/LoSalt are high potassium-low sodium salts available in grocery stores or Amazon and the like)
Mix these in a liter of water and sip it throughout the day. The apple cider vinegar and lemon are optional but recommended for 10+ day fasts.
You can also do this if you feel lightheaded, weak, dizzy, nauseous, etc., on shorter water fasts. Don’t do this while intermittent fasting.

I'm pretty sure the only reason why the stigma exists is because your body's pretty good at holding on to water weight while fasting as a survival thing. You'll still be burning fat just fine, maybe less than someone on a dry fast but I haven't seen anyone do any experiments.
Your gainz should be fine as long as you're doing light workouts while you fast

All the existing salt in your body, which you need, would rush out of cells and tissues where it is needed — not a good thing! Sugar is not necessary and is not included in snake juice
>Electrolytes. Some fluids may contain these minerals. One particular solution, for example, combines saline with bicarbonate, sugar and potassium. This is one of the preferred fluids for surgeries, likely because surgery can alter your electrolyte and acid-base balance.
Electrolytes are unnecessary when the purpose of fasting is to generate energy from your fat deposits and it not reflected in snake juice. Potassium is however present.
>Vitamins. If you have a bright yellow bag hanging above your bed, it may mean you’ve been drinking too much. “Banana bags” contain multivitamins as well as fluids intended to replace the vitamin loss that drinking alcohol causes.
Again not necessary when fasting
So basically Snake Juice is sort of like a DIY IV solution with added magnesium. IVs can be the only shit people have going through their bodies for weeks without eating a goddamn thing. People can lose fat like madmen in the hospital- sure they lose muscle too but that's because they don't have the privilege of getting in some light exercise.

Between 18:6 and regular snake piss fasting, I busted myself from 235 lbs down to 204. Didn't take any 235 pics. Currently at the beginning of day 4 of my current fast. From my perspective, my chunky self looks about exactly the same. I can see that most of my pants are way looser, and I've been getting told I look thinner, but I am not even close to satisfied. Decent progress, but a long fucking way to go.

Honestly as a fatty whos done it, theres not much difference between a 14 day fast and a 40+ fast.

I would post the desuarchive posts of my time doing it back in october 2017 but it seems to be down, the saddest part is that I only really took face photos during the fast to send to my brother who wanted to see how i changed over the 43 days since I never intended to go that long, I just took it week by week, past the 22-23 day mark, you pretty much feel the same throughout the fast except you feel a tiny bit weaker every day

I only stopped because I started getting pain in my gall bladder (Holy fuck you do not want gallstones) and was getting lightheaded even with supplements constantly.

Either or neither. I cut caffeine. Pretty sure the withdrawal hit me like a motherfucker, but I'm also pretty sure it's the reason I'm getting decent sleep on this extended fast.

I don't really have a problem sleeping during a fast, I fall asleep quite easily even when drinking 3 cups of green tea per day, but I was wondering if black coffee wouldn't be better in terms of fat burning. Also mostly because I've been constipated for days and I really, really need to shit

Theoretically, whichever has more caffeine could cause you to jitter some extra calories off. If you spent the time it took you to make coffee to do some light exercise, you would probably have more calories burned than drinking caffeine all day.

I don't drink caffeine all day though, three/two cups of green tea seem reasonable enough, especially considering it literally takes me 4 minutes to make. I also walk everyday to my uni's library and hole myself up in there studying all day, then walk all the way back home again, so caffeine helps me keep focus.

Hey everyone, been a very long time since I came to Jow Forums and I believe back then we did not have these fast generals, which are a great adition.

I have been away from the gym for over a year, recovering from some problems, in the next few months I might be able to return but I have a few questions if anyone can answer me.

I started doing IF around June, first it was 16:8 now it's 18:6. Been losing quite some fat, still retaining most if not all of my muscle mass.

My doubt is, when I return to the gym, is it good for me to train while fasted right before breaaking the fast? For example, I train at 11 so that at 12 I will eat my first meal and it would work as my post-workout. Would this impact negatively on my muscle mass?

TL;DR: Can I make gains while training fasted and eating first meal right after workout?

I've been reading this book and it's life changing. Really understanding how everything works is what makes us change mindset. I've lost 16.5 lbs in 6 weeks with barely any effort, because it rewired my brain. I have no envy to eat processed foods & sugar anymore, I'm actually disgusted when I cross the area of that shit in the supermarket, I stopped eating between meals, I hydrate myself, I sleep longer and better, I cook all my meals based on whole foods. The book talks about fasting too, and I kinda want to try it but I'm still a bit scared to fuck something up.

First 48 is the worst. I kept myself busy on those days and got up way early. Managed to get some sleep. The more you go, the less hunger hits you. I feel hunger like once or twice a day, and it lasts only for a couple minutes now.

not much, excercise stimulus is the primary driver of growth, with enough stimulus you need even less protein than you would think.

Lifts sometimes go down, but the important part is to get the muscles active and stressed

Nice! Back before I had a food scale I used to eat over half a kg of food one hour before hitting the gym, always felt sluggish. Then I got a scale and started eating only about 200g of food and felt much better.

I tried making green tea with Snake Juice instead of water
The tea bag tasted like ass, just a bunch of fuckin salt, but the tea itself tastes okay
Not as good as regular tea because the sodium flavor takes up a lot of the taste, but it's at least a little tastier than the default juice.
Still, I don't think I'll make any more green tea. Maybe lemon tea would taste better since people actually eat that with salt.
For reference I used 2 cups of microwaved Snake Juice and 1 Kroger generic tea bag of decaffeinated green tea
