Are calisthenics like the push-up and sit-up fine to do on rest days? I'm currently running a full body routine 3 times a week
Are calisthenics like the push-up and sit-up fine to do on rest days...
Yes, whatever works for you sweetie ;)
yes, calisthenics and cardio actually help to recover faster
>rest days
Weak faggot
Go to the gym five days per weak then do callisthenics at home on the weekend.
I would think no. Rest day means rest. If you are pushing hard during your workouts then doing calisthenics will ruin your rest day.
There are some people who only do calisthenics, you know. That's their entire program.
it works too, just takes a long ass time to see results. Nice thing about Calisthenics is generally the strength and muscle gained stays for life
your muscles get strong during rest days , if you do don't go too hard with it , it could maybe help with recovery but if you overdo you will be weaker on your next workout.
Also if you're new adding even more volume won't do jackshit for you
depends on the volume or the intensity
calisthenics are exercises, just like lifting. Lmao at phaggots who never did a pull up thinking they're for rest days.
Try it and see if you like it. Personally i train every day and still make progress, so don't see why a bit of volume would kill your gains.
Theres also some talk about benefits of doing some lightish work on a muscle 24 hours after a workout to increase protein synthesis if you wanna look that up.
No, you'll die if you do calisthenics on rest days
>workouts so light that you can actually workout the next day due to not needing the time to recover from a hard workout
>you weak faggot
as a beginner, probably yes. You should be able to recover pretty quickly but if your next workout is worse than your previous then you should probably stop doing shit on rest days
Just cause you're sore doesn't mean you can't train
who said anything about being sore? Do you know why intermediates and above need more time for recovery?
Cause they pussies who don't wanna be on that grind
>not benching til your arms fail, the bar falls on your neck and sends you to the afterlife
never gonna make it
One can do that perfectly fine and still exercise the day after, besides the whole dying thing.
these pussies lift more weight than you. If they pussies, what does that make you?
yea, if you're training with 50% of your actual RMs
It does work better in combination with high rep training, though also works with a mix of heavy days and repetition days. Aka one day doing lets say primarily push, and the next day pull.
