this unironically is the truth; Arnold is correct about confusing the muscles. Have actual fun in the gym and do your compounds but dick around with fun accessory work and change up rep schemes and change up special lifting techniques (drop sets, stretching with the weights, high rep-drop sets, there's hundreds). Get strong as fuck and then play with reps and technique.

LEAVE ME ALONE

i do squats first every time because i hate them fuck off

I dont. Gotta confuse the muscles bro. Load up the smith machine with 2 plates, get ready for flat bench. Then when ypur music is about to hit the drop you gotta quickly sprint to the dumbless and do curls

You’re a brainlet if that’s true unless you’ve hit 3plate

for real
if you do your lifts in the same order every time you're going to become much more effective in the lifts you train first and your later lifts are going to lag because you're always going into them fatigued

care to reference any studies that suggest this?

GOTTA CONFUSE THE MUSCLES RIGHT BABE

That's why accessory lifts come second in priority to main heavy compound lifts

do 6 sets of rpe 8 or higher of a compound exercise of your choice with less than 5 minutes of rest between, then let me know which set you think you performed best and worst in

Do people really only do 5 reps? I make sure to do 10 reps every time, even if I fail one I just let it fail wait a few seconds and then keep going until I hit 10. Then I take a legitimate rest.

WEAK HAHAHAHAHAHA

Jokes on you, my bench has actually decreased.

Take a rest and try changing the reps and sets as well as trying different bench press styles like banded bench bress, incline, decline, close grip and dumbbell

This guy is right. You have to be a fucking tard to not understand that the big lift comes first and then accessories if you want to get bigger numbers on the big lift. Alternatively, do accessories first, so when you hit the compound you can push yourself without a ton of weight therefore decreasing risk of injury. I actually hate Jow Forums because every person who has ever entered the gym thinks they know what everyone should do 100%. Different people, different goals, so stop acting like a pt scientist.

He knows
