Protein bars

Overpriced gains goblins or a good alternative to junk food and getting your protein intake up?

>buy mini tuppaware
>Buy nuts, seeds and dried fruit in bulk
>Fill tuppaware with mix of above
>Gains and cheaper

Don't buy shitty Uber marketed and priced products.

A local store has quest bars for 75¢ each, so pretty good value for me ig

>nuts
high in omega-6 causing inflammation and lower test
>seeds
see above
>dried fruit
sugar bombs

nuts are surprisingly high in fat compared to the protein they offer

i think bars are just a lazier form of shake but even less efficient with all the extra additive shit they put in em to hold their shape

Probably not bad to have in your car/at work if you need food in a pinch, as long as you can find em at a decent price

And you think protein bars are better?

Beef jerky is the way to go.

Oh, also, to get the same amount of protein from nuts as in most protein bars (20g) you would have to eat 100g clocking in at 600+ calories

The only alternative to junk food is to not eat junk food

Fats are fine on their own

Too much sugar content in my opinion.

proteinbar isn't better or good or anything

proteinbar is if you feel like eating a snickers or mars, but instead you go with "healthier" alternative, a protein bar

I like these for high protein low carb. Get em off amazon when they have them.

I get low carb protein bars when I cut because it is an easy af breakfast.

Just make your own protein bars, its very easy to do and it tastes a lot better

costco sells a good kirkland protein bar.

then what should one eat for protein or for a snack?

Hell yeah. I'm bulking and eating 800 calories a day in almonds. Pretty easy to snack on. Just make sure you get the unsalted ones otherwise you'll be drinking water non stop.

Protein bars are good for cutting, nuts are better for bulking, beef jerky has too much sodium and isn’t ideal as a standard part of any diet, maybe as a “cheat” or “reward” meal.

>eat for a snack
Cans of chicken and tuna

how do you have muscle eating petty 200 calorie protein bars as snacks?

It really bothers me that I'm a poor piece of shit but theres still people out there rich and stupid enough to eat shit like this.

Sardines

>chicken full of carcinogens
>tuna full of mercury
