All I can tell you is that it has been working phenomenally for me. Went from 235 to 204 in less than a month. Started with the 18:6 intermittent fasting routine for like a week, then I mixed up the snake juice (salt water mixture) and did a 48 hr fast. Started up another, but felt like mega trash until I ate probably cause I was going through caffeine and sugar withdrawal as well as fat adaptation. after that, I just knocked out a 4 day fast, and I'm honestly wishing I didn't stop. I feel fucking great physically and mentally. Didn't lose this much weight in military bootcamp.

If I do a 2 week fast with very light exercise (body weight squats, crunches, pushups, walking) will I lose my gainz?

Before you get memed by DYEL fasters, you're losing muscle once you run out of dietary protein and your body needs more. It's a slow process, you're not gonna lose 5lbs of muscle overnight, but you're slowly losing muscle as the fast continues.
Most muscle loss is usually within the first 3 days, but you enter ketosis not too long after and you start using up half as much lean mass. As for strength? No clue. Some user said he fasted for 2 weeks and was still trying to reach his previous maxes a couple of weeks after he stopped. Others have said they weren't affected, but they only fasted for a week at most.
Most /fast/ards are fat DYELs so muscle loss isn't an issue for them. Even if it was, they refuse to believe it because somehow the nearly insignificant rise in HGH production totally negates the need for protein.

Managed to stay at 90 for a good while but shitty job and my grandfather passing away really hit me hard

I've lost 100 pounds doing keto/fasting and while I haven't really gained much muscle if at all I haven't lost any based on my lifts either. Just need to lift and not go overboard on the fasting I guess I'd say 4:3 is effective enough.

I completely forgot I was replying to you and not just going on some autistic rampage.
After all that, sting a couple days on and off may be beneficial for fatties losing weight, but honestly a conventional cut with cardio will leave you feeling much more satisfied.
I have yet to see someone that fasts for days/weeks to cut and actually looks good, and I've browsed /fast/ for a long time.
